No news on Dawes?

Funny how the article gets posted on the NY Rangers site, and I haven't heard or seen anything definitive afterwards. Also, all's very quiet on the Umberger front, too.

He's signed and playing in Hartford, as is Cam Keith. Both skated in the game against the LockMonsters.

I hadn't noticed him in the boxscore, but I probably missed Sunday's and only saw Saturday's. Hope he does well - he could possibly play in about 9 games, I believe.

that Umberger is practicing with the Rangers again. JD and Sam confirmed he is practicing with the Rangers.

Isn't there a rule that states that players drafted out of the CHL can't play in the AHL until they're 20? Or am I thinking of something else?

Once their regular season is over, they are eligible to play the remainder of the season in the AHL or NHL.
