I am putting out an APB for Greech... Greech WHERE ARE YOOOOOOUUUUU?
the more talent that shows up the faster the skate...
Rob, Glenn and Orren will be missed but it is nice to have "Todd Elik" and Reidy back in the fold....as well as some new faces
as for fans,
we had at least 15 in the stands last skate..give or take a few, so the more the merrier......
It is really cool to have Kirk coming out. Hopefully he can make this for sure.
Two things Kirk:
1)I will bring the SPF 45 for the back of your neck for all the times I light the lamp on ya
2)I will also bring you some ear plugs so you can drowned out my chirping!
Big props to MDL for taking this and running with it....Sept 12th is a perfect date and you grabbed a nice 2 hour chunk of ice!
we should cap this at 24 with a waiting list
see you all on the 12th
Z45 (wearing black this time)
PS: Nutty, no puking...at least not during warmups like last time
Should be a great time. Nice early start is perfect. Lets get more of a group to hang out for the after game happy hour too....(ie- lie to your wives/gf's and say we have a 3 hour batch of ice)
Z- why switching to the dark side? Would it be a good idea for everyone to give themselves a "grade" so to speak to even up the teams as much as possible? Just a thought.
Without Scotia the sides are probably tilted more on the White side.
Best thing is for the teams to be as even as possible.
I'll check on bringing a set of matching white jerseys, I'll have a better idea if I can in September.

I thought we did this last time and it worked out pretty well. That is a good idea, as well as a position, perhaps? I can skate up but I usually play defense. Also, I'm a "C" skater and not a younger player.

And it's actually a very good thought, although these ratings are obviously very subjective, especially when they pertain to one's self. For what it's worth, I would probably characterize myself as a 'B' level goalie.
Are you guys imposing a limit to the number of posts to be able to play? Although I haven't posted much (or at all) I have been reading the B's boards daily for a couple of years now and would be interested in skating if you guys need people.

I can add you to the list, though if many of our regulars (who haven't chimed in yet) want spots then we usually give precedent to them.
I'm a left D. I'm much improved over past skates as I've been playing all summer long now. I'd put myself in the C4 category for skill.
I am a 35 year old "C" level player that is over-weight,and asthmatic. I have however been playing every Friday night in a pick up hour since 1989 when I was in high school. I know how to play, but I am not the best skater out there, and by no means fast. I can play very well positionally, and can hang with players faster, and better than me every night I play unless my asthma is really bugging me(rare these days).
i would put myself in the low b, high c level, if that matters. as far as goalies go, are we going to rotate like last time when we had 3? or since we have 4 goalies this time, are we going to just pair up 2 goalies a side?
I will be holding a draft in september when the final list comes out. I know all of the skaters that have skated in the past and if you are new just post your skill level here and I will split ya up

Shammah- for the purpose of the games we play you are A level without question.
Well, LPBruins and I were linemates in high school at Arlington Catholic, so I suppose we're comparable. Then again, I skated with some of you guys back in Burlington a few skates back, so you may remember.
Reidy, I don't think I've skated with you, but safe to say you're an A at our level because you played at AC, and LP Bruins is at that level (he schooled me on a regular basis at the last one).
The biggest thing is to be honest in your assessment. Don't feel like you're bragging if you are an A player (Andy, I'm talking to you), and don't be ashamed to characterize yourself as a D player. Everyone contributes and no one cares about the skill level.
Ad for me, I fit squarely in the B/C level with many others. The biggest thing is to have an even split with A and D players on each side.
Zylos, it pleases me to hear you are joining the dark side.

Think I am out on this one, going camping that weekend. I am sure you will all have a blast though. I have been to the past 3 or 4 pickup skates. If you haven't done it, its a heck of alot of fun.

Hey guys. Just letting you know, not positive I can play... I hope so.
Just broke my toe, and everyone knows broken toes dont go well with skates.. Recovery time is around 6 weeks, but I am young and hopefully it will mend before I have to worry about it too much..
