Who gets more starts in 2009-2010 Hiller or Giggy?

Quite simple, as the title says, who will get more starts between the pipes for the Ducks this year?

I think Hiller has the edge right now as hes coming off a spectaculor playoff run. But Giguere with his 6m salary will be given a chance to bounce back or at least, play so the Ducks can deal him (with his permission of course NTC)

I think they play 50/50 Hiller with maybe 45 Giggy 37

Your thoughts?

If both play well then they both play alot, but if Hiller turns out to be the better goalie he will play more, or the other way around.

Tough to guess at this time. They will both go 50/50 for most of the time unless one of them gets injured or absolutely loses it. Either way I doubt both of them will be around after trade deadline...

Hiller has 1.3 mio for the comming year while Guigere has 6 mio for 09/10 and 7 mio for 10/11.

On top of that François Allaire is gone so they are unconfortable with the new goaltenders. If they can stick to Hiller and sign him for 5 or 6 years ... they will do it. They may do it rather soon to avoid his salary going up. The question is will he accept or will he be wanting to see the end of the season ...

i guess it will be like a chess game.

All this to end up into a 50/50 depending on who is in good shape.

As much as I want to see this happen, who would take him? Colorado/Philly? And who would be our replacement backup?

50/50 I think.. not exactly 41/41 obvs but probably like 43-39 or somethin like that for either tender.. unless 1 craps the bed

As much as I'd hope it will be a 1a/1b situation, one of them will get the job done and one of them will falter... similar to offseason where Jiggy sucked and Bryzgalov had 4 SOs in a row.

I think Jiggy will bounce back this year.

If Jiggy really bounces back, Hiller is gone

See, two things can happen.

A- Jiggy plays average or sub par, and no one wants him, Jiggy stays in Anaheim.

B- Jiggy plays really well (maybe 20-10 by the trade dealine), and then trading Hiller is the main option.

Its going to be hard to find a good scenerio where you can truly expect Jiggy to be traded.
