Well, I'm sure a lot of people bought tickets hoping to see the headlining act... makes sense.

Anyway, I went in 2006. Damien Rice, Stars, Smashing Pumpkins. <3

I was so close to getting tickets but I changed my mind.

I only wanted to see Eagles of Death Metal anyway, I hate the rest of the bands, especially the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

I went both days.

Saturday I saw Josh Ritter, Eagles of Death Metal, then I kinda just chilled on the Hill until THE ROOTS which was easily the best set of the night. AMAZING. I was lucky enough to be right up close to the stage.

I sorta hung back and saw a bit of Coldplay which was good, but it was WAY too packed. So I head over to Girl Talk which was INCREDIBLE and the 2nd best set of the night after The Roots. Just sick. Like going to a club on steroids.

After that it was so ridiculously packed...I've never seen anything like that before. We stood in line with thousands of people waiting for the metro for over an hour before we gave up and walked the bridge that goes to the Casino all the way back to the island.

2nd night was pretty good, but lousy weather. I only made it out at around 4:30-ish to see Vampire Weekend and then Rufus Wainwright which were both good sets. After I just sorta chilled for The Decemberists which was very good, and then got in line for the Yeah Yeah Yeahs while watching Arctic Moneys which were just terrible.

Got to watch the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in the first row, directly in front of the stage, which was just amazing. I don't even like them that much but it was a pretty good set, especially up close. I didn't stay for the whole thing though, since I didn't want to get stuck walking the bridge again.

Overall, pretty good weekend. I just hope next year the headliners aren't such massively popular bands because the crowds were too huge this year. There was less than half the amount of people last year compared to Saturday.

Half of Saturday's people only went for Coldplay like me. I got to see Silver Starling; pretty good band. Then around 3-4 PM we went to the main stages. When Eagles of Death Metal started my friends and I went to get our spot for the rest of the day. We were on the fence, right in front where Coldplay did their 3 acoustic songs. They were 2m away from me; I couldn't believe it! I had a blast that day.

Thumbs down to the STM though. How couldn't they offer a shuttle service from Parc Jean-Drapeau to Papineau station? I waited 1h30 or more to get into the metro.

Here one of the videos I took even if most of you don't care for them.

i was there on day 1,

I started the day with Relax music with Donavon Frankenreiter he was pretty good if your into accoustic music.

after that i headed out to see some of Eagle of death Metal show it was not my style but they had some good interactions with the crowd!

saw K'naan show that was pretty good especially his last song!

then i headed out to mainstage for Jason Mraz and while i was waiting for Mraz i listened to Elbow who wasn't bad at all but Mraz was fine with Im Yours.

then i waited for a friend for hours while listening to The Roots and went on to see Coldplay and like one of the users i was really close to them on their accoustic song set it was Magic.

I was pretty lucky to get inside the metro in like 20-30 min i guess .

Should of kept my sunday tickets imo.

I thought they were great. They played two older songs and the rest was from their last album. I hope they come on their one, I'd go see them.
