This is remarkably incorrect. I'm not going to lie and say that he will be ready for Opening Day, but Wang and Snow have repeatedly been denying these outrageous claims about DiPietro's health. He is not and will not be on LTIR in real life. If we're allowed to make up injuries, let's all place our cap dumps on LTIR!

Also, you supposedly placed him on LTIR after putting him on waivers. Apparently, we can retract the waiving of a player?

The knee will tell DiPietro when it's ready, and it doesn't matter if it's Sept. 3, Oct. 3 or Nov. 3. Everybody in the organization has learned that false starts are to be avoided because they only lead to setbacks. The good news is that the No. 1 goaltender is on track for a healthy return to backstop the No. 1 pick and the rest of the Islanders.

Since waivers are new to the game and not understood by everyone I would say it is fair to let him get away with the "oops". No need for anyone to be a dick about it. Let Wang and Snow talk you know they are only trying to cover and no one would admit that a player they signed for 15 years might miss another because of injury. Wang and Snow got Tavares and that was a no brainer, but then they moved up and took a questionable pick when better players were on the board. Let's not talk as if they are geniuses.

How many "oops" are we going to give away in this game? OilGagner trying to cheat on the league with the Avery trade (although that was pretty much resolved), a tampering issue, the agents signing so fast, offer sheet issues, and now this?

If you don't like it look for an exit. I was extremely pissed two days ago but I also run my own league and trust me you get a lot of complaints information that is posted in the morning might not be read until a day later. It's hard to keep everyone on the same page let alone be assured that people will actually read what you type.

EVEN IN BOLD AND CAPS

The number of people who ignore posts is remarkable. Not to say that isn't ignorant or a reason to punish someone, but this is the only waivers "oops" I've seen, there were a few in free agency, but in my league I basically allow one oops as long as it isn't huge in each facet of the game, be it the Draft, Free Agency, Trades, Waivers what have you. Then you clarify the rules again and you are allowed to punish people without the first person being the whipping boy. Don't tell me that if you made the same mistake you wouldn't want an opportunity to fix it.

As long as a claim wasn't put in before he changed his mind and placed him on LTIR a simple "edit- delete post" erases the mistake and the Commish can say, "hey man I will let it slide but to clarify blah blah blah"

Oil is for sure doing his best, running a 30 team league is not an easy task. Fine, I'll let the DiPietro thing go. But mistakes cannot continue to slide.

I agree man, I'm just saying I'd hate to see Doig or You or Myself be the whipping boy for one mistake. I'm also not just defending Doig, I'd defend you too it's not like Doig has a reputation of trying to do sketchy things to get an edge. Next time he does something like this I say don't let it slide but I doubt that happens he pays attention. If you had a guy cheat in a trade, cheat in the draft, and try and say oops after somone pointed an error out in a waiver move I'd take the side of the person pointing out the mistake and punish that GM. Not the case here IMO.

Dale Denton: Whoa! What the **** was that?
Saul: I was trying to hit that tree. I missed.
Dale Denton: What tree?
Saul: That one.
Dale Denton: Why didn't you smash it on a rock like a normal person like I did?
Saul: I don't know! How often does somebody smash things? I'm rusty, ****.
Dale Denton: Oh, man, did you at least see where it landed?
Saul: I don't know. Just call it.
Dale Denton: Call it? With what? My phone has been smashed!
Saul: [pauses] Y'know, I bet they can't even triangulate those things.
Dale Denton: Well, you shouldn't have said anything, because now you convinced me they can! You were very convincing back there!
Saul: Okay, okay. Fine, I'll go find it. ****.
Dale Denton: Do you see it?
Saul: See what?
Dale Denton: The phone, you idiot!

I have no problem hijacking this thread and quoting Pineapple Express all day.

Saul: What's up with the suit?
Dale Denton: Oh, I'm a process server, so I have to wear a suit.
Saul: Wow, you're a servant? Like a butler? A chauffeur?
Dale Denton: No, no. What? No, I'm not like-...
Saul: Shine shoes?
Dale Denton: I'm a *process server*!

Doesn't matter it's like those potato chip bags that said "I bet you can't eat just one." Once you start quoting it you dont stop.
