Had we kept these picks who says we would have drafted any of these players?

When I think of the term 'recent', 1989 doesn't really seem to jump out at me.

It's a thread that has been beaten to death, but the Niedermayer pick would've been higher (likely Lindros) had we kept it. Luongo may not have been our guy, but we likely would've picked up Brewer if not. Still a deal I wouldn't make. Mike Cammalleri was a later round and a player I doubt we would've grabbed.

ah we probably would've just drafted more useless belleville bulls anyways... i think back in those days that was the only junior team we scouted!

Burke got jealous. Wanted his own chance to shine.

It is recent when you consider how old this club is

Tlusty, Bozak, Pogge and Stefanovich for Donald Brashear, Tyson Dowzak, 6th round pick in 2010, and 2nd round pick in 2014.

Oh, wait. That's tomorrow.

I'm pretty the next generation of Toronto kids are gonna follow the Habs and Sens instead of the Leafs.

Schneider could have salvaged that deal somewhat if they had just kept him around. 9 pretty good years as a post Leaf. There are mismanaged clubs and then there are mismanaged unlucky clubs.

Lol, and if they do follow the leafs there will be some pretty gritty kids coming from Greater Toronto maybe in 10-15 years. They will call it the Burke effect or something.

Tukka Rask+First

Boyes+McCauley+1st for Owen Nolan is ahead of the Raycroft trade

One thing that is really dumb, is why were the Leafs so trigger happy to make a trade when they had a top 5 pick in the past.

If we can survive the Ballard era, there's nothing that will stop people from being Leaf fans.

No.

Aki starred in 52 playoff games. +2 career. aki was there for the brutal series with the islanders. aki took out mike peca that series.

Adam Mair only had one decent playoff run with Buffalo, but he was scrub 4th liner. aki played in the top 4 during toronto's runs.

one of pat quinn's best trade in this poster's ppinion. shame on u.
