Congrats to the Flames and their fans. Well-deserved.

Playing in April (and May and June? ) beats hoping for lottery position every time.

This is awsome, Flames are my second favorite canadian team after the Leafs.

Flames/Leafs final would be nice.

I would like to thank the following board members for their predictions on the *sticky prediction thread* at the top of this page

Congrats to the Flames and their fans. Calgary has some of the nicest, most respectful fans on these boards and this fan of a rival team is very happy to see them have a chance to watch their team play in the postseason.

I really hope you guys come out of the West!

Ha,

Where is Lanny anyways? I kind of thought of that after I posted.

I have been posting at this site for about 5-6 years now, and Lanny was here even back then ripping into people. I never really felt the wrath of Lanny except the day of the Jason Allison trade when he told me I was severely underrating Glen Murray's ability, and hell it turned out he was right.

Congradulations Calgary Flames. I'll eat crow and say that I didn't expect you in the playoffs but Sutter has put together one hell of a team.

Good luck!

Calgary is an example that trades, top talent and great drafting are all important but secondary to the most critical decisions a franchise ever takes: Choosing the guys on top.

GMing and coaching can make or break a team.

The Flames have made a huge step forward with Sutter, IMO. He will add to the credibility of the franchise for a long time and the effects may even be felt long after he will be gone.

Very happy to see this canadian franchise doing well once again!

Almost everytime I saw the Flames this year, they struck me as a "serious" team. Meaning that they were truly performing well, not just getting lucky bounces. The work ethic was there, great effort, great focus.

They are also a pain to play against. I don't think they will make an early exit in the playoffs.

Anyway, well done to the Flames. Echoing Vlad's sentiments, they gained bigtime credibility and accountability when Sutter took over, and they've been playing great since. Good luck in the playoffs!

Incorrect. By doing well this season the Flames have seriously compromised their draft position for 2004. Terrible move by the team.

Congrats to the Flames! When I was watching some sports news I couldn't stop SMILING when they were showing the Calgary Flames and how happy the team looked. I remember watching a Flames game and the announcers were noting how the building wasnt really full (before they went on hot streak), and they need to do something to get the building full and that they should start winning again and look what happened!!! GO FLAMES GO!! Flames/Leafs final!

I am really excited to see the Flames finally in the playoffs. They look decent right now heading into the playoffs, and will only look better when/if Yelle, Lydman, and McAmmond back in the lineup ASAP.

You would not believe how it has just energized the city, and how many Flames jerseys I have seen today around school.
