I work in an organic grocery store. While something that's merely organic is not necessarily healthier, they're better for say, the world. Most organic food companies are smaller and buy ingredients from independent family farmers rather than owning their own megafarms. I drink and smoke and eat Tastycakes and drink Coca Cola by the gallon, but if I'm gonna eat an apple one day, I'd prefer one that came from a local orchard and wasn't sprayed with anything flammable.

Things like organic sodas contain real sugar cane rather than corn syrup, which flat out tastes better.

Except for the part where if we were to switch to organic farming worldwide, even more people would be starving to death than are right now, right?

Not if we get that lady from the Santa Cruz local gov. meeting to lead the way .

On another note does Brian Boucher look like Ben Afleck here? At first I thought it was him and I was thinking wouldn't Afleck be a fan of the Bruins if anybody?

I'm jealous. I leave for Ireland next Friday and it feels like it'll never get here. Anyone going on vacation before then can kiss it haha.

In other news, good god. I just walked outside for like 5 minutes, and after one I was about to just give up, sit down, and die. I've had enough. I would like Fall and Winter to resume ASAP. This 90 degree/ 80% humidity ******** just ain't cutting it.

It's going to be 115 degrees in Baghdad tomorrow. It could be worse.

I only watch Hardcore Hockey Talk when there's literally nothing else on. No biggie.

I actually don't like any of the panelists they had on Hardcore Hockey Talk but I'd watch it because it was the only show that talked about hockey for an hour.

I'll miss Score Tonight 'cause they had a good format; I really dislike Sportscentre and Connected.

Silly canadians and their silly shows.

That's jealousy speaking. I get to watch some dope like Ed Barkowitz or Paul Hagen talk about hockey (same type of people that ask Chris Pronger why he decided to sign with Philly... )

I don't feel like finding the link right now, but there was a relatively recent NY Times article (within the last 6 weeks or so), that completely debunks this theory.

Megafarms are just buying smaller organic farms and running them too. So you're really not helping smaller farmers by buying organic, all the money goes to the same 4-5 companies.

I win. Had a meeting at work, and worked today. Kid might be fired, im wuite sure he is, cuz yesterday he was told to drop it and did, as he wrote some **** in my work truck, and then 2 other co workers stepped up and said the kids a cancer and they refuse to work with him also, therefore leaving shiiping him out the only option, as he isnt experianced enough to work alone.

I really have to thank the kid for being an idiot and carrying on, but more so my 2 co-workers. I knew how they felt, as we talk often, but wasnt gonna drag them into it. For I while I felt I was fighting this alone and really thought I was screwed, but they stepped up and did the right thing. i owe them some beers they really saved my job
