US-HHOF... Just as the thread title was stated.

Olympic memories abounded when the United States Hockey Hall of Fame committee officially announced their Hall of Fame Class for 2009 Tuesday.

Also inducted was Tom Barrasso.

Congratulations to all three worthy inductees.

Awesome to hear 2 of my all time favorite players got some recognition. JR Amonte and LeClair ALWAYS found a way onto my Flyers roster back in the 90's in the NHL: games, and in 2003 that dream came true. 2004 the trio fell 1 game from the finals.

While Lindros got me into the Flyers, Leclair is most definitely my favorite Flyer of all time. Congrats to him (and Amonte too of course, iron man!)

It had to be the US hof, that's a pretty quick turnaround.

What a beast Johnny was in his prime. Scoring at will from the blue-line, and never, ever getting bumped effectively by anyone. I wonder how many back/neck/shoulder injuries he caused. The guy was inhuman - no one ever took him off his stride no matter what he was doing at the time, particularly if he was along the boards. How many times did guys trying to crosscheck him in the back go flying in the other direction.

Johnny skating in and just ripping a slapshot past the goalie from the top of the circle was just spectacular to watch.

It looks like Frank Zamboni, who is the inventor of one of the most vital pieces of equipment for ice hockey (The Zamboni), will be inducted too, over 20 years after his death. Congrats to him too!

the pride of St.Albans, Vermont.
Not bad for a kid from a small town in the Northeast.

235 goals from 95-96 to 99-00.
