Malhotra gave a lot more offense than Peca did this past season. Gave a lot more of everything actually.

I doubt Affy will go to the KHL. I'd be surprised. He'll take some one year somewhere. Nashville needs bodies up front I think and could probably afford him.

Eaves will get a third-line role with some team and will emerge again. As long as a team gives him that opportunity, I think he'll be fine. If no other team wants him, I'll gladly take him on the Sabres for the league minimum and watch him become a mainstay on our third line.

Eaves will be in the NHL next year.

Poile and Afinogenov's agent have both stated that the Predators have no interest in Max.

I'm crossing my fingers for a Prospal or Comrie signing.

Just FYI Nashville has the most cap space in the league, I think.

Alex Tanguay is far and beyond the best offensive UFA available on the market as of today. The others are a few steps behind him.

So the best guys remaining that are not on the verge of retirement are,

Tanguay
Afinogenov
Prospal
Comrie
Bertuzzi
Sykora
Satan

I also will go as far as saying this is the order they should be ranked in for who will be most productive next season, IMO. Any changes to that lineup??

Oh they do! lol, they certainly do! Its extremely frustrating!!

One of the guys on the Preds message board posted this pic and said it was David Poile on free agency day and on trade deadline day, I thought it was hilarious!

As bad as Sykora played during the final part of the season and into the playoffs, he is still a 20+ 30+ 50 to 60 point player and I would rank him 2nd on all lists behind Tanguay.

The nucks are close to being contenders if they sign either Sundin or a top 4 puck moving defenceman they would be a contender

Patty Eaves has to be on that list . Younger than all of these guys, cheaper, former first round , can kill penalties and has a good shot. He needs to play with a playmaker who can create him some time and space to use his shot; if that happens Eaves can be a 20 goal scorer.

How do you figure? That would pretty much put the Nucks at a status quo from last year.

Rumors have it that ottawa is interested in Affy. it'll all depend on what (if any) move regarding Heatley.

If Affy signs for cheap, I wouldn't mind him to sign with the Sens

Ya and we got to the second round with a Half year of Mats.
Manage if the man actually decided to give a Shat this year.
we'd have a good race with Calgary for the Div lead. and all we'd need to do is find a decent #5 pairing for SOB.
Sammy gives us more flexability to running with 3 scoring lines this year. and Bring in Mats. it almost sets in stone the Top 6.

the only problem would be Cap flexability.

He'd have to sign for the 1-2 million range, cuz id still wanna bring in a guy like Mike VanRyn to pair with SOB.

pretty sure Mats is the only one left on the table that fits your needs.
