Probably has something to do with the negotiations going on privately (as they should)...not much info from either side at all.

Yeah, that's one of the biggest differences. With Zherdev we had (allegedly) concrete numbers being thrown around... With Brandon, we haven't had any of that.
There's also that Dubinsky is one of "our guys" in that he was a kid that came through our system, whereas Zherdev was an import. People love the homegrown players. Like those that think Girardi ought to be playing on the first pairing on a legitimate defense.
