WE don't want Briere's huge contract, and we have to add Zubov?

I was under the impression that JVR is to Philly what Hodgson is to my 'Nucks. In other words, completely untradeable and shouldn't even be brought up in proposal's like this -- but maybe I'm wrong. Either way, the deal seems 'fair' for both sides.
Heatley > Briere
Zubov < JVR
So yes, value is there... basically it's a change of scenary for the 'crybaby' and Philly unloads the albatross contract in Gomez-ian fashion. JVR and Zubov are thrown in to balance it out. Still not sure if either team pulls the trigger on this... is OTT really looking for someone of Briere's ilk? JVR is definitely the sweetener for them here.
Conclusion: Value? Yes. Needs? Undecided (hoping others can chime in).

Value is not fair at all.
Briere is 31, and a 30 gaol scorer
Heatley is 28 and a 50 goal scorer
JVR is much better than Zubov, but it doesn't offset enough for Heatley

Heatley is also 2 mil more. The Flyers pass n this deal without even thinking twice. Ottowa may not want Briere but we DO. We DON'T want Heatley because we have a much much better team without him.

To be fair, I don't listen to my couch either.
I don't think Philly does this trade. In fact, I see Heatley starting and possibly finishing the season with Ottawa. Not only does Heatley have a big contract, but a choice on where he goes. I don't see many teams that want to take the risk involved with trading for him. A lot of value and salary.

My couch is always telling me to sit down and chill out. I don't know why Heatley has such a problem with his. They're pretty easy to get along with I find...
Briere gets a bad rep around here. Sure he is overpaid and looks like a child predator but he still can put up 80 point seasons. JVR is the key here, the guy is criminally underrated and will be a Ryan Getzlaf/Bobby Ryan clone in the NHL.
Briere is more of a playmaker though... but you're right he's not close to Heatley's value. Maybe I'm just overrating JVR as the offset.
What would it take for this to work from an OTT perspective?
I'd be fine with Briere + JVR + Phi 2010 1st
Not really high on taking Briere's contract but if Heatley is not coming back in Ottawa and there is no other options, then do it

Heatley (even iwith selfish star syndrome) for Briere would automatically make the Flyers the best team in the NHL. Flyers fans would be crazy not wanting that.
