Not that I expect him to win, but Purcell SHOULD have been rated higher than this IMO, I'd vote for Lewis **in fact accidentally did Doughty Number 8 when you tally votes take my vote away Lewis and award it to Purcell}, but Purcell is STILL a Kings prospect, an AHL R.O.Y. and All-Star, things Lewis hasn't achieved, and I can't see putting Lewis ahead of him while he's still on the depth chart.

Vote: Teddy Purcell / Add: Bud Holloway in case the pictures throw you off

Lewis. Why is Purcell still considered a prospect?

I don't agree with you on Purcell. Lewis is 2 years younger than Purcell, and also, from what I have seen, he will eventually be more of an impact player than Purcell probably will be. Purcell to me seems like a Jason Krog or Darren Haydar on steroids - in that they actually can make it in the NHL, but not on a team that will contend for anything. At the same time, Lewis could fill out our bottom 9 nicely, and in his call-up in the NHL, showed that he had a decent amount of talent to go with the already well known hockey smarts and 2-way play.

Though also, I could see Purcell becoming an impact 60-70 point playmaking winger. He really has elite vision and passing skill - he is already probably the best pure playmaker on the team right now. But he also has a shot that he is willing to use, and he has improved his board work.

I still think that Lewis is a better prospect, but I am much more excited about the chance of seeing Purcell hopefully play a whole season up in LA

And also I wanted to address something else.

Nicolas Deslauriers and Bud Holloways recieved the same amount of add votes (2) after King (but since we got 6-7 established, we added 2 players).

Neither are ranked by HF, so I had to use my judgement to add Deslauriers (though I will add Holloway next).

Lewis. Purcell will go the way of Boyle.

Also, Lewis has 18 goals in 60 games in my NHL 09 season.

With the addition of Ryan Smyth and Justin Williams the last few months the top 6 has closed for Edward Purcell. He is now either a 3rd line winger, a 4th line winger or a minor leaguer. Edward is not suited for 3rd or 4th line play. I think the door has closed on his career as a King, therefore I voted for Trevor Lewis who is still developing and when he should be ready the Kings will have spots open at the position he plays.

Pretty much. He'll be in a deal at the deadline to bolster the Kings roster for the playoffs. If they're in that position of course.
