You could make a case for GZA, Kool G Rap and BDK, but there is no way you can objectively put guys like Killah Priest and R.A. the Rugged Man over Nas...come on. Illmatic crushes both of these guys' complete catalogs combined.

And Lil' Wayne isn't bad at all, but you have to understand and appreciate the character before you can get into his music.

BDK and Kool G Rap are the only ones you can make a good case for. GZA has some nice metaphores, but he's ultimately lame and his flow is boring.

Well, he still has so much classic material behind him that some people could make a case as to why he belongs there, style and flow apart. I agree though.

In fact, none of the guys he named would make my list, BDK and KGR would get HMs, but there's just so much talented guys you can put in that sort of list that it takes incredible rappers off the list.

Mine would probably look something like this (no order): Biggie, Tupac, Nas, Rakim and Black Thought from The Roots. The first four will stay there, Black Thought could be switched for somebody else though. Right now that's what I would say, because each of these have something unique and skills to match any other rapper out there.
