The meaning of your username? Rangers edition

It's 3 am in early August and I'm extremely bored... Saw this on the Leafs board, not sure where they got it from but I figured... WTF, why not?

MTI79: When I was a college student at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY, I interned at WGR 550AM, a local sports radio station. The radio host, Brad Riter, started referring to me simply as Mike The Intern and as such, the initials MTI were created. Then, I simply added the 79 for the year I was born. Hence, MTI79. Not the best story, but hey, it's something.

I was about to ask when you graduated Canisuis, but saw 1979, and said "doesn't know her."

ha ha. I graduated in 02 but had friends there so I knew people that graduated up until like 05 or so. Ironically, I'm now back in Buffalo although I'm originally from the Jersey Shore.

Stevie Ray Vaughan song, my old one was GretzNYR99, and I'm pretty sure you all can figure out where that one comes from.

Mine is CaptainCallahan, because he exemplifies exactly what a New York Ranger should be, and in my opinion should have the captaincy.

I hope mine is obvious, but for those who don't know, it stands for "Goal a Game line", which was the name given to the line of Rod Gilbert, Jean Ratelle and Vic Hadfield.

Jabroni = A famous word used by The Rock. (The former WWF/WWE wrestler, now an actor).

1994 = The year the Rangers won their last Stanley Cup.

DubiDubiDoo- Sadly, my favorite part of watching Rangers hockeys through the decline of the late 90's was the bud ice penguin commercials, if your not familiar you can find them on youtube i'm sure... I thought it was specially appropriate being my new favorite Ranger was Dubinsky post lockout

Two years ago I consulted a mystic on the Rangers and they drew the Chariot Card from a Tarot Deck

"The Chariot represents struggle, but not one that the seeker will definitely lose. The Chariot suggests that the seeker actually has a good chance of prevailing if he or she does not give up. Accomplishment can be achieved with effort and resources mix with strong direction. You need to pay attention to details. Harness power and talents and forge ahead. This is a go-for-it card.

It is symbolic the strength associated with battle (think any roman epic). It speaks of fortitude and perseverance. This card could also represent that control is necessary for the victory. It is a hero’s journey. Possessing strength of conviction.

It could also represent a possible voyage or journey. It can be a physical one or one of spiritual discovery. You create your own destiny. Could also be a new car is in your future or a move to a new home."

Was looking for something cool to replace my old one. Avery was just hitting the ice with the pack at that time, got a revelation or something. Funny, I tried this username on other hockey boards, didn't match at all, this one belongs to HFBoards, nowhere else.
