Stars I think completely depends on Turco though.

Gotta go with the Blues next I think. They have so much young talent headed in the right direction and while Columbus does too, I just think St. Louis has more.

Really? The Oilers upgrade in every position, literally.

I dont think people realize how big of a change Pat Quinn and Tom Renney make, the Bruins go from 8th to 1st in the East from a coaching change, the Hawks go from 1-3 record I think it was to the Conference Finals, and the biggest of all, the Pens go from not even close to making the playoffs, the the Stanely Cup champs from a coaching change..

Then there's an upgrade in goal with Khabibulin, and the fact that Gagner, Cogliano, Gilbert are now veterans without pressure.

Im kind of glad that Edmonton is finally coming into a season with no expectations, I do think they are going to be a suprise team for once.

And to say the Coyotes finish higher then the Oilers...

EDIT: Also forgot to mention, a healthy Visnovsky doesn't hurt either.

I'm listening. I don't think Khabibulin is very good anymore. Also the thing with Gagner Cogs and Gilbert could be said for a lot of teams.

Kindof sounds like the Blues from last year. Maybe they will surprise. The reason I put Phoenix ahead of them is I think they are extremely underrated.

Maybe I underestimate the Oilers. We will see in a few painful months.

I can't imagine why you think he isn't good anymore?

The only knock I would have on Khabby, and I did when he was with the Hawks, is that he can't be a workhorse anymore. Meaning, he can't be depended upon to play 65ish games a season. He's seems to get worn down quicker leading to injuries.

If the Oilers can supplement Khabibulin with a good back-up to take on about 25 or so games, he will be a good goalie for them. I have no doubt about that.

Steve Mason might be my favorite goalie in the league. Columbus.
