Foppa Comeback Part ???

http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportblade...icle5605490.ab

Google Translate:
After umpteen attempts have Peter Forsberg a fairly relaxed attitude to a comeback as a world player.

Yet he makes a new one.... Read More

- Is it not now, it is run. But I am equally happy if it does not work ... uh, I held on to say, says Foppa.

There is a small straw left, a new intervention in the foot which will be the last.

- Yes, I did it in early May and most of that I had nothing else to do at the time, says Foppa to Sportbladet.

- We will see if it works, but it's not that I go and think it will work. It has failed ten times previously and it seems that there is no way to get on that foot. I have tried everything.

- At the same time, it felt weird to just give up and I thought it was best to try one last thing.

That is a little hazy?!?!?!?

According to what I read yesterday -- exactly where, I'm not 100% sure... maybe HockeyBuzz/Eklund -- Foppa got with his foot specialist, who has yet another method that he will try before finally and completely call it a career.

... Wait, I found it here: http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog/Eklun...meback/1/22407

#2 Foppa Returning?.. It sounds like Peter Forsberg is somewhat optimistic about a new treatment. The translation quotes Foppa as telling a Swedish News Agency "I and the (foot specialist), Bertil Romanus, have decided to try out yet another way... I do not want to tell precisely what it is, but we are equally determined to try once again."

Not quite what I remembered... he didn't say that it was his last 'new' attempt. LOL

If it works, I'm sure the Flyers will be rumored to be in the mix... and Homer won't completely rule out bringing in such a talent.

He had his charity game and had 2 assists, played the whole game and was the most "glacial" of forwards. I hope google meant graceful of forwards. Article also mentions that he didn't fall down because of the foot.

I respect the fact Foppa cant give the game up and will do everything he can to play but Im getting tired of all this forsberg hooplah. Id still love to see him play for the Flyers again if healthy. Dude is one of my alltime favs.

If Forsberg can be out there and not be a liability, I take him.

Anyday of the week.

If he could play 70 games + playoffs, and sign at a reasonable price, HELL YEAH I'd take Foppa back.

<-------- You see my avatar so obviously I'd take him but I don't want to put the cart before the horse. I wish him nothing but the best.

I loved Foppa while he was here. Still love him as a player. But the Foppa coming back to Philly ship has sailed for me a long time ago.

I imagine if he does start to play again it will probably be in Sweden again like he did briefly last year. Perhaps if he actually plays again in Sweden and does fine maybe then he will come back to the NHL but, I wouldn't recommend anyone get their hopes up.

I'd like to convince myself that Foppa is hurt or washed up and I wouldn't want him back. I can't. Peter ****ing Forsberg.

exactly I think there is almost a zero chance he comes back, and if he does how does he fit in? can we deal with the distractions of is he ready ect ect.
Personally I think the man is finished. He had a great career. Why would he want to go out a shell of his former self.
Please stay retired Forsberg.

Nah I disagree with this. Forsberg has been trying to come back, only thing preventing him is his ankle that he has been trying every single thing other than having a mechanical foot.

Favre straight up retired, came back and is just ****ing with people.

**** Favre!

totally agree. the Favre comparisons are unjust. I hope he comes back and plays great even if its not with the Flyers. What a great story that would be. But if he is healthy, god damn come back to philly!

Haha nicely done- I'm assuming you made it .

A lot of you have probably seen this but this is a great Forsberg compilation. ForsbergisOdin I'm guessing you might need some alone time now .
