Out of those guys, definitely Montoya, maybe Skille, probably Boyle

Fehr and Espo are really listed as busts? Espo was drafted in 2007 and Fehr is an NHL regular

I think Schremp has a chance, he just never gets a shot. Only 7 NHL games, even had 3 assists in just 4 games last year. had a bad AHL year this year though

I agree with Montoya. I liked him even when he was on the Rangers. He earned a shot at the NHL quite a few times, but was never really given it. I'm sure his morale is at rock bottom, all the kid needs is a shot.

Esposito who played at the WJ's and was only drafted in 07 and White who was in 07 I think as well as an NHL regular in Fehr, are all considered busts? Right.

Some of the others aren't quite busts yet, but I guess you could make a case for them.

The first year he was called up and played in a top six role he produced. Last year when he was called up he was always put on the 4th line with Ivanans and whoever. The two times he started on a better line he potted a point on both occassions. I feel the issue with Boyle is LA wanted him being a 3rd/4th line grinder but he is a 6'7 more skill than grit guy. He has solid hands, was upset he didn't get more playing time with Frolov who he seemed to mesh really well with. For his size and in general does a really good job at getting open at the top of the slot and firing one-timers once getting the puck (and has a solid shot to go with it). In the end he still seems kind of an enigma for me not sure what to expect, one of the few who loved him when he was in LA and sure hope he pans out and does well for the Rangers.

Other than Boyle I think Montoya will still be a very solid goalie. I think he has the tools and in a year or two will be at least a good back-up if not more.

Pat White: 2007 1st rnd selection(25th)- Vancouver Canucks

University of Minesota: 2007- 45 gp- 10 pts
2008- 36 gp- 16 pts

As for Angelo Esposito he is borderline....this was a guy that was suppose to be top 5a few year before his draft year...Then he had a decline of 30 points from his jr year in in 2005 to his his junior year in 2007. Got cut Several times by team Canada...and when he did finally make team Canada he was given limited time.

Eric Fehr is a bust!!- 111 pts his final year in the WHL in the which included a 59 goal seaon. To what? 34 pts in 109 NHL games?? 1st rnd 18th overall?

Montoya. Goaltenders take longer to develop.

Schremp and Brule will never be what they were expected to be. Brule might fit in as a grinder. But Schremp is a soft player who would only fit in a top 6 role. He won't get that chance.

For what it's worth, Montoya looked excellent in his brief call-up with Phoenix last year. He still has a lot to do to prove it wasn't a fluke, but he does have the potential.

I think Montoya because as it's been stated, goalies take longer sometimes. You could also throw Pogge into that catagory and I think if the right team gets one of these guys, they will thrive.

Pat White but saying any player drafted in 2007 is a "bust" is a little ridiculous.

Jack Skille has had injury problem but the jury is not out on this guy. Not at all actually. He's big, fast and has big heart. He can score, grind so there's a place for him in the NHL... Just too bad though, Chicago is going for the cup this year so there won't be many places for rookies in this year lineup... Maybe he's trade bait?

With the Hossa injury, Skille has a chance to impress the team in training camp and earn a roster spot. If he's not on the team come the start of the season, I think it's fair to label him a bust.

Brule and Marc Pouliot will be battling for a spot with the Oilers 4th line at camp

Hugh Jessimen is a bust, Eric Fehr is not. Regardless of where they are drafted, if they are NHL regulars, they aren't generally considered busts. Dissapointmens, ya, but not a bust. He's also a power forward, they take a lot longer to develop, he could still turn out as a solid second liner.
