I would love to see him back, even if for one year. He was too good a player to go out like he did. Him coming back and grinding it out on the 4th line and leaving on his own terms would be great.

Here is a picture of him attempting to start a baseball career a year ago with the Calgary Vipers of the Golden Baseball League:

He makes Wellwood look like an olympic body builder.

Claude Lemieux didn't play for almost 6 years in the NHL, didn't play anywhere else ether. He came back, to the NHL, with one of the best teams in the league, with some of the best players, and played in the playoffs too.

Theoren Fleury will play in the NHL again. I hope Doug Wilson gets him.

that was a publicity stunt, he never 'attempted to start' a baseball career.

If he comes back, it should be with the Flames. He regretted leaving the Flames, and he has had a presence with them over the last couple of years.

I'd be cheering for him. Him in his prime would have been a force in the "New NHL" he was awesome in the old one, but in this new iteration, he'd be lights out. Loved Theo minus his stint in NYC

___insertmidgetjokehere___

in all honestly Theoren is in my top 3 fav's of all time (Fleury, Joseph, Andreychuk).. and not just because we have the same name lol (different spelling). All kinds of great memories it's really too bad how his career ended .. hopefully he gets one more chance to prove himself one last time.. .. anybody else read the book Fury?

Read and own the book Fury... Says a lot because normally I don't read books, haha. Apparently he is due to have another one out this October covering a lot of his battles and life after he left Chicago. Can't remember where I saw this, think there was something on Wikipedia about it. Would definitely be an interesting read.

There is no way a 41-year old that is 7 years removed from the league that has never played post-lockout is going to crack any lineup in the NHL ever. Sorry.

That said, here's to hoping.

Detroit needs to put him on the Darren McCarty program back to the NHL. We desperate need someone to fill Hudler's role of team midget.

I, for one, hope he can come back and have an impact for whoever he signs with. It is great to see people put their troubles behind them, I wish him the best of luck.

That's what I was thinking about, imagine a line of Fleury - Cammalleri - Gionta... BUT, it would be speedy as hell, and VERY dangerous in the offensive zone, that's for sure...

Come on Theo, dont come back, look at that belly. You have no game left. If you have any contacts in the NHL, see if you can hook up a minor league coaching gig or a scouting gig. If you do well with that, you can move up in an organization.

Fleury never should have come to New York. He wanted no part of moving to the east but $21 million over 3 years convinced him to make the trip. I remember there was a picture in the NY Post of Fleury and Jason Priestley with some other guys sitting at a table in a club. They all looked to be having too good of time. His wife was miserable living in Greenwich, Conn. Fleury blew it in Colorado by missing a playoff game in Dallas due to the "flu". Father Pete wanted nothing to do with Fleury after that.

Guaranteed not one of them would have the balls to say it in his presence nor would they say it to any individual who has been through what Theo has.

More power to him if he can come back from this, never did want to see him leave Calgary.
YOU and Theo must be on more drugs then ever if you think that he will make it back in the NHL. I don't think people are hidding behind their computers here, it is just the truth.
