Im pretty happy about this signing. Grier has hands of stone , but brings a strong work ethic, leadership and unless things changed in SanJose I remember him being an execptional pk forward. He is going to be a great addition to the bottom 6 forwards

But I must say , IMO he was the last ex Sabre other then Kozlov who I would have thought we'd see a return from.

You know what.. great signing

I've been looking at his name on the UFA lists and thought that maybe bridges have been burned, But there's no better way to keep up with the Burkes....er Jones.

that line doesn't really belong in a thread about Mike Grier

I wonder if they discovered the grass was not greener. Or... it is only one year.

They will certainly be banging the body more than ever under Regier's tenure.

Big fan of this. Something to be a little bit excited about. It'll be nice to have his grit and veterancy back on the team.

We smell and look a lot more like 99 on paper, only with more offense and less goalie.

I am more happy about him in the locker room than I am about him playing on the ice.

OMG, how many players can make the roster? Our waiver wire will be loaded because there's people coming in but no one moving out. I got it...1 goalie, 9 defensemen and 13 forwards...wait we still have too many players.

How about stockpiling draft picks with the trades?

So, I guess this should satisfy those of us who were looking for something like a version of Rivet for the forwards?

I've heard Chain and others talk about this, but hopefully we have enough work ethic and accountability in the locker room now to shift the balance, and put those guys who we've seen take a night off or not stick up for their teammates on notice that that kind of **** won't be tolerated any more.

I'm looking squarely at you, Hank and

Sabres need top 6 not bottom 6, but this is a feel good signing for me no matter.

Exactly.
Forget improving the bottom 6, this should really help in the locker room I would think.
