Decent offense, best defense, good luck with goaltending. (Not trying to be insulting, but you will need luck)

Maybe you're forgetting that Theodore is the #1 and Varlamov is still a rookie. Everyone puts Theodore in the dust because he has a bad contract. Same with Hiller/Giguere. Giguere is #1. A good playoff performance does not mean they will beat out a veteran All-Star for the #1 job.

Different situations. Hiller came in and played 46 games during the regular season and was named starter for the playoffs because he played great during the season. He already beat out the veteran all-star. Now, can he keep it up or will Giguere(who played terrible) step it up big time? Who knows, but at worse Hiller gets atleast 50 starts.

Theodore isn't that hard to beat for the #1 postition though whearas Giguere is. I think Varlamov will be the Caps main goalie this year too.

And Theodore wasn't even that good for WAS this year, the Caps team made him look good by getting wins and bailing him out.

I see both of them splitting time to a certain point. Hiller has shown he can handle a big workload while Varlamov really hasnt. If I were to guess for the Caps they go 50/50 unless one of them breaks down which is certainly possible.
