On a bunch of them he was the player getting hit, and he dished out more then the player hitting him.

I think playing with his brothers growing up really helped him, a lot of D-men look clue less when a high caliber player tries a sweet one on one move, Staal just steps up at the right moment, like that hit on Crosby. His timing is really good.

Sick.

This is why I rock my #18 jersey. This kid is a beast. I pray he's patrolling our blueline for the next 20ish years.

When you watch them all together you really see how strong he is. He's gonna be a monster in a couple years.

What a nice shot he has.....It'd be awesome if Staal's offensive skills developed more as well as his defensive (which is already amazing), he'd be a simply amazing defensemen.

AWESOME VID!

Staal makes me feel not as bad about not having a Crosby, Malkin, or Ovechkin...especially when he puts them on their @$$

awesome video loffen, staal is already our top defenseman, i cant wait to see how much he develops over the next couple of years. he is a friggin stud, anyone who even entertains the idea of trading him is absolutely out of their freakin minds.

I've always said that staal is one of the few d-men in the nhl that can hold his own with ovechkin when it comes to hitting and defending

This video is all sorts of excellent, and I look forward to the inevitable part deux in coming seasons.

Definitely dug the hits on Ovie and the goals on Fatso lol.

Staal's best trait is probably his balance. He practically always have two skates on the ice when he hits and when he is hit. That means it's usually the opponent flying, regardless of the situation.

Such a gem to have on the blueline.

Well it's hard to not look like a fool when defending or hitting Ovechkin. Staal can match his strength and has good balance. Ovechkin is like a truck because he is always moving his feet. None of those hits on Ovechkin were really devastating but Staal didn't look like a fool either. Shows he knows what he is doing.

Crosby on the other hand folded in two which is always nice to see.
