Hello. Ranger fan here. My buddy is getting married in April and I (along with another friend) will be responsible for planning his bachelor party. He's a big Devils fan and we're not looking to travel far from where we live (Northern NJ) so I'm really focusing on the idea of staying local and starting our night off by going to a Devils game... I know he would really enjoy it, I would really enjoy it, and a live sporting event (especially hockey) is the great way to kick off what should be a very exciting/fun night... It just so happens that the April 2nd (Friday night) game against the Blackhawks is the weekend before his wedding.
Has anyone ever purchased group sale tickets at the Rock? Can anyone shed any info or light on how it works and what the details are? There would potentially be between 10 and 20 of us at the bachelor party. Obviously we all need to sit together.
Not really sure how quickly I need to jump on this. One potential problem is that it's hard to get a head count on how many people will be at the bachelor party, 8 months in advance. But at the same time, I can't wait to try and purchase tickets last minute at the risk of them not being available.
We have a school bus company by us that rents buses (they provide the driver). My plan would be for us to jump on the bus (boozing the whole way there) and drive to Newark from up here in Bergen County and start the night off with the Devils game and then we would jump back on the bus (continue boozing) and take it into NYC and hit up the bar/gentleman's club scene there.
Eventually I will go straight to the source and contact a Devils ticket Rep for details but I figured I would ask here first and feel it out and see if anyone has had any experiencing buying tickets in bulk like this.

Any insight is appreciated.
Neil Desormeaux is the director of group sales - cool guy. Minimum on group sales is 25. If you aren't going to have that many go to the game, wait until they go on sale and see if there are any specials for that night. Sometimes the deals are announced closer to game day.
I think there are rules about alcohol and school buses too. If you're going to use a school bus, no matter the size, check with the company. Otherwise, be safe and book a true mini party bus.

Not really. Most business require an average between 20-30 so 25 isn't bad at all. Chicago doesn't have any groups (Even thought they advertise it.) come in since there season is completely sold out. Last season they even had standing seats. They had more people in there building than Montreal and Bell Centre hold more seats than United Center which is crazy.

Chicago absolutely has groups because I have group tickets. All arenas have group sales, including our neighbors across the river.

I live in Virginia & only come 3-4 time a year, and ususally bring 10 folks with me. They may say it is a 25 minimum but they wil lhook you up with quite a few less. In addition look into this thread that has those promotion codes here. (Boy scouts, teamsters, devs fan club etc) get you tix there.
Hope all goes well

Thanks for playing though.
Relax this is what I heard from friends in Chicago who wanted to do Groups in the United Center. Last Season they couldn't do it because the whole season was sold out. You probably just got lucky relax. Thanks for playing Dork. LOL!

They probably couldn't do it because they didn't do it on time.
I didn't get lucky, we planned ahead and got on the priority list.
And I didn't call you a name, so there's no need for that last comment or the LOL!

Well that's fine. But I don't appreciate that smart ... remark "Thanks for Playing" was that really necessary on your part I'm just telling you what I know. No reason to be rude. As you can see you didn't like my remark back. So I'm sorry that I was rude as well but I was trying to prove a point. I won't be surprised if you don't apologize to me either I'm expecting that.
Maybe the group of people going to Chicago to see the Devils on Dec. 31st?
No one was talking about a group going to Chicago on Dec. 31st. It was two people arguing over wether Chicago sold group tixs in general or not. Then it turned into argument of who was getting smart with who. My comment of who cares about Chicago was just meant to let it go. This was a thread that someone asked about Devils groups sales. But since I obviously can't let it go either, I take back my comment.
