Prior to seeing the numbers, I'm happy both Smid & Brule were resigned. Smid has shown real progress and provides some grit that this team needs.. should progress nicely this season as well, being that the new coaches shouldn't show any biases to any players yet.

As for Brule, well a Pat Quinn team might be just what he needs to get 'er going. Hopefully the kid can start producing at the NHL level, I just hope the log jam of youth doesn't stifle his development (if there is any to be made) and he gets a respectable shot. Still think he could be a Mike Peca-lite clone one day.

If it is Tencer and Stone you are talking about that is good news as Stone is a very good AHL player and hopefully will add some energy to the organization, maybe on the Oilers 4th line.

Hopefully Schremp doesn't hold out (he'd be dumb if he did). BTW I thought it was aviater?

Yeah according to one of the guys (in the comments section) that runs Oiler Nation. He talked to Gregor on the phone. He does not know Smid's numbers but the other numbers are apparently as follows:

Brule: $800K with the Oil ($62.5K if plays in the AHL)
Stone: $600K with the Oil ($75K in the AHL)

I predict Stone and Brule play most of the season in EDM. Smid top 4.

Joan Rivers was already done and she's hideous with or without makeup. And you know that you'd enjoy seeing Rosie naked.

But being serious, Good signing. I hope Brule really comes into his own soon and holds down a spot in the NHL. Always liked the kid.

I just hope Brule and Smid don't kill the Avalanche this year with big checks.

Again great signing. I'm not an Oiler fan, but hopefully your team has good success this year, That cup run they had years ago was amazing, I would love to see another one. Good luck

I believe Schremp is the last RFA left for us to sign?

I don't understand why potential AHL impact players like these 3 would settle for so little in terms of the AHL side of the deal? Is there an AHL salary cap? I don't believe that there is.

The last time Tencer talked to Tambo, he had the temerity to insinuate that replacing Roloson with Khabibulin was at best a marginal upgrade. Tambo got a bit bent out of shape about that statement.

That's what it said on Oilersnation. Probably trying to go for a 6 figures AHL contract in case he gets sent down and clears waivers. That would be my guess anyway.
