Hey everyone, I was just stopping by to ask what people in Germany do to watch NHL games. I joined the US Air Force last year and I am in Germany now. I am just trying to find a viable way to watch my Blues play this year. Preferably on the internet. (no cable) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also I am sorry if this is the wrong forum to ask this.

Well, the best and easiest source is obviously the internet. You could check ESPN360, it's the European equivalent of NHL center ice. Since the games usually start at 1AM (for Blues 2AM), the archive of ESPN360 is probably a huge advantage, too.

Are you able to stream games online with sopcast in Germany or are the IP addresses blocked?

Any bars that play the games (or are they all closed by that time?)?

Yes, sopcast an co work, too. But the huge advantage of ESPN360 is the archive.

I don't know any bar which shows the games. There are not that many hockey fans in Germany, therefore bars are not interested in showing the games even though most bars are open during the night.

Sopcast works fine, it's ustream and stuff like that which can be a bit of a problem, like being kicked out because the maximum number of users has been reached, etc.

I seriously doubt that there are many bars who even know where the channel is on their tv-set, if they have it at all. Finding a bar that has the channel, shows hockey games and is open late into the night is very very hard.

try with atdhe.net ...

their you have a decent choice of NHL games.

you may have to create a virtual server in North america to see the games (depending on the provider ... typically justin.tv ... and some others.)
Then, on the GDT threads, they often indicate online feeds.

All in all, if you have a decent bandwidth, you should be able to see many good games.

enjoy it.

my 2nd choice. there are always streams mentioned.

if the goal is watch 82 blues game then i'd say with free streams it's possible to watch at least 65-70 games.

My favourite site for watching hockey. The forum gets updated quite regularly before and during the games concerning the functionality of streams or where new streams have popped up etc...

Yeah, I forget to ask you about that. You're probably on American terrain, which means you're able to get American TV. You should then be able to use the American center ice. Where are you positioned, btw?

if such is the case, with atdhe.net you may not even have the trouble to create a virtual server in the US.

Lucky you are because it slows down the transmission.

As you can see, you have serveral options.
Enjoy
