Miller won't kill you at the NHL level and he gives a Grade A effort. Appears to be a decent human being as well, as explicated here.

I look forward to Evgeny's penalties doubling by association now.

Im sad to see Arty go, he always stood up for his teammates, and he was entertaining to watch.

Hopefully this would bring us Tanguay

Happy dance!

My wish has come true...Arty's gone! Happy dance for me.
I won't miss his 10 goals in 145 games and the occasional big hit at all!!!
Poor hands, no brakes on the skates so he winds up behind the net most rushes, I could go on and on.
There is a hockey god after all!

No way Bochenski starts season with Lightning. With this trade, I'm pretty sure the Lightning will get Tanguay. If not, then probably Sykora.

Malone-Stamkos-St. Louis
Tanguay-Lecavalier-Downie
Veilleux-Halpern-Karsums/Hall
Fedoruk-Szczechura-Tyrell

Note: Please no more Mats Sundin in this thread

Tyrell on the 4th line is such a waste and horrible for his development.

If they put Tyrell on the 4th line I don't think it would be used as a typical 4th line, the proposed line he was in would be much like a second third line and that might be good for his development. That being said if he is used as a 4th liner it would really set him back.

I don't want Fedoruk and Chewy getting that much ice time then.

For the hell of it: Lightning w/Sykora and Tanguay

Regular Strength:
Tanguay-Lecavalier-St.Louis
Malone-Stamkos-Sykora
Veilleux-Halpern-Downie
Craig-Hall-Szczechura
Fedoruk

Meszaros-Ohlund
Ranger-Hedman
Walker-Foster
Smaby

PP:
Unit 1: Tanguay-Lecavalier-Sykora/Ohlund-Hedman
Unit 2: Malone-Stamkos-St.Louis/Ranger-Meszaros

Because of Prospal's buyout, it's unlikely we'll see much of Stammer,Vinny, and Marty on the same unit. Halpern is the next best center, and he's not especially gifted for such a role.

PK:
Unit 1: Halpern-Veilleux/Foster-Meszaros
Unit 2: Downie-Szczechura/Walker-Ohlund

There's a surprising amount of versatility when it comes to putting together the PK.

Ya Tyrell and Szczechura on the same line with Fedoruk wouldn't be the greatest, but I would really like to see Chewy and Tyrell on the same line. This considering that they are both pretty good defensively and that Chewy (playmaker) might be able to set up Tyrell. Hopefully, there is chemistry there. However, I think that Tyrell has enought talent to make this team, but am unsure where we could possibly put him. Should it be:

1) One of top scoring lines if we aren't able to get 2 top six forwards
2) 3rd or 4th liness
3) Norfolk

Your thoughts????????????

Not a Chewy fan I take it?

I agree kind of, it depends what Chewy we get, if it is the good one that is one step ahead of everyone else and working his ass off I have no problem with him getting a decent amount of time. But if he doesnt show up then like at times last year then I agree.

I would really like to have Tyrell and Chewy playing together, but can understand the statement, I think they could find someone better than Fedoruk to compliment them, but I would still like them together on an energy line.

I have no problems with Tyrell playing with him for a little bit, kid does need to learn to bang bodies and grind a little bit. I don't want him being a one way forward.

Now, any extended period of time would be problematic.

Alexeev was actually slated to be a goal scorer... R2 just skates and hits.

Alexeev had far more skill but horrible heart and determination. The stereotypical Russian hockey player. A lesser talented Zherdev.

Artyukhin isn't in the same ballpark as far as skill besides skating but I wouldn't question his effort, just hockey sense which has nothing to do with desire.
