Could be more specific other than "DirecTV". There are a lot of channels on DirecTV!
I think it was on 660 and 661...FS Ohio. It was the game against I think Avalanche farm team. You just have to search for AHL games. Rampage doesn't televise its games, but some AHL teams do.
What can I say? They (we) came out SWINGING!!!!! We were up 6-1 by the end of the first period. It was embarrassing. Really embarrassing. As far as details, it was Bodie first (Zimmerman and Hogan I think with the assist). Then I wrote them down in random order Meyer (Turris assist), McClean, Schlemko (Perrault assist), and Long...Looking at my notes, I'm confused. Anyway, we were kicking arse until the second period. They came out hard! They also came out tough the third period, but we scored and ultimately had a 7-4 win. I apologize for the sketchy recap. On a good note, I saw Lessard walking around (he was a healthy scratch). How handsome they are when not dressed-in uniform-(just a personal aside).
How have the Ducks prospects Mitera, Bodie, Beleskey, and Festerling looked?
Haven't seen the games in person or anything, just read box scores so just letting you know (you may have a better read than I do) but Belesky has been getting regular time and it seems like he's mixing it up a lil, adds that sandpaper and energy. Think he has atleast a couple points too. Festerling apparently has really solidified the D corps, not that it was lacking in depth. He just gives a more veteren presence. Now, Mitera I guess hasn't been playing regularly. Maybe someone can correct me on all this hopefully, but these are my impressions. I think he's just a victim of the numbers and perhaps didn't have his best game his first outing with the Rampage, but more ice time is definetely in order I think.
the second period was crap. it was like the teams switched places. one goal of the griffins was helped by josh trying to bat it out of the air, instead he batted it right into our net.

Wow that looks like one hell of a first period! Rest of game not so much. Nice to see MacLean with the hat trick though and Turris and Boedker with a goal and an assist each.
Rampage had 15 shots and scored 7 goals ?? Bizarre.
The Griffins dont look a bad team either - McCollum, Emmerton, Evan McGrath, Kindl, Pyett, Mursak, Ritola are all prospects I've heard of and a couple of vets too in Delmore and Williams.

I think I read somewhere Mitera had an injury to start the season.

I saw that. Was it their third goal? Strange game.
Maclean with 2 more goals today.
Turris with 2 goals and an assist
Boedker with 3 assists
Tikhonov with 1 assist
Porter with 2 assists
Kolarik with a goal and an assist
Montoya stops 30 of 32

This has to be a tremmendous boost to the confidence of these young kids. If they can consistantly beat up on professional men's teams, they are going to come into next season on cloud nine. So nice that they're all doing it together, too. Should be great for chemistry, going forward. Summers and Brown are together at Michigan, too. Basically OEL and Goncharov are our only top prospects not playing with current or future Coyotes. At least that's the way it seems. In Goncharov's case, I would imagine that he and Lepisto will probably be duking it out for Aucoin's spot, next season. The summer after that, Jovo is a goner(along with Vandermeer), opening up another couple of spots(paging OEL and Summers).
Turris, Tikhonov, Boedker are all what I thought they were and more. So fun to watch.
MacLean, when he's going, is unstoppable at this level. He still gets knocked off the puck too easily. But in space, he's sick.
Do not get caught in a bad change against 3 out of 4 lines, you will get scored on.
D is inconsistent. Positionally, they are sound. But as a group, they are a bit slow looking at times. They seem to have a problem clearing the zone at times too. Can get quite frustrating when they really need a change. Ahnelov came back this weekend and that should really help.
Lessard rules. He's big and slow but the guy is all heart. He is going full throttle the entire shift. And i really believe his presence on the bench keeps our guys safe.
Unsung hero from yesterdays game is Ryan Hollweg. Rampage were up 2-1, Griffins had just scored, and the Rampage took a hooking and an unsportsmanlike for a full 2 minute 5 on 3. Hollweg came up with 2 huge blocked shots and played an amazing PK. They killed the penalties and ended up adding 3 more goals before the end of the period. He had 2 or 3 more blocks over the course of the game. He lacks any regard for his health and safety. It might not be smart, but that kind of player is extremely valuable on any hockey team.
JT was not good Saturday. Montoya was steady and solid yesterday.
This is a seriously talented team. Slick and fast with great passing and finishing. They are also a seriously young team. They go through periods where they chase chase chase and look like garbage. Hopefully Ireland and the vets, guys like Hoggan, Perrault, and Festerling, can keep them on track.
To aggregate for everyone too lazy to check, the Rampage are 6-1-1 and have the highest win percentage in the league (.812). They've also scored nine more goals than the next best offense (33 in 8 games).
Top offensive performers (GP-G-A-P)
Sean Sullivan 8-2-8-10
Kyle Turris 8-4-5-9
Kevin Porter 6-2-7-9
Brett MacLean 7-6-2-8
Joel Perrault 8-4-3-7
Viktor Tikhonov 8-1-6-7
Jeff Hoggan 8-2-4-6
Chad Kolarik 7-4-1-5
Mikkel Boedker 3-1-4-5
Great to see the Rampage doing well so far this season. Developing some winning ways down there will do wonders for the young guys in the organization.
I think we can lay to rest the concerns that sending Turris, Tikh and Boedker down would destroy the confidence of all three and seriously impede their progress.
Question for the Phoenix guys, does Boedker have a penchant for passing up a shot to make the extra pass? Just a trend I have noticed in the two games I have seen so far. He is so slick with the puck and fast but then he will drop the puck to the point or move it out to the edge when he has what appears to be a clear shot.
He's still damn fun to watch though. And is it pronounced Michael or Miguel with a K?

Mick-kel. And, yes, he does have a penchant for passing up shots. I'm sure it's one of the primary reasons they sent him down.
