Heatley to Wild?

According to Brad Ratgen per Mark Christopher of Hockeybuzz, the Wild have offered Mikko Koivu, Nick Schultz and Tyler Cuma for Dany Heatley. These are the major names involved. But it could involve Colton Gillies of the Wild, if more comes the Wild's way. On the other hand, Ottawa is believed to be wanting Burns and/or Havlat. (Havlat back to Ottawa? I don't think so!!! )

I don't get why the Wild would give up a true team player and leader that has pretty good offensive upside for a guy who obviously doesn't care about his team.

I can't imagine the Wild actually offering Koivu but if they did and the Sens didn't bite...major fail.

Wow this is a great package....Koivu as 2nd center would patch really well heatley's departure...Nick Schultz....welll it's more like a throw in...but still valuable ...

Cuma was once highly touted...does he still have good potential?

If they can get cuma/schultz replaced by gillies, that would be a good return for someone that seems impossible to trade...

I'll be shocked if the Wild have offered up Koivu, let alone Koivu, Schultz, and Cuma. Not saying it can't happen, but I would be shocked if it did.

I would'nt trust the site but if so the Sens have to take that. I mean come on, Koivu straight up is worth it just to get rid of Heatley already

Spezza Koivu down the middle is pretty nice for the Sens if this works out.

I cannot see the Wild trading Koivu. This move would be lateral at best.

if koivu went to the sens i think that would give them the best 1-2 center punch in the northeast

My immediate thought was "Heatley-Koivu-Havlat?" but this is just silly.

Heatley wants to get out of the cold and a larger hockey market, so I can't see him accepting a deal to the Wild. He doesn't have much choice, though, unless Doug Wilson grows a pair and makes a better last-minute pitch.

Definitely not true. Even if Ottawa added something to that deal.

Koivu, Schultz, and Cuma is equivalent to the Hawks offering up Toews, Seabrook, and Hjarm for Heatley. BS.

LoL@ the Minnesota fan who considers Heatley for Koivu a "lateral" move.

Koivu is not in the same league.

Uhm... No, it's not. Toews >>> Koivu, Seabrook >>> Schultz, and Cuma > Hjarm.
