Give me Peter Forsberg

Never gonna happen, but a man can dream about his idol playing for his favourite team right? Even a Forsberg in the shape he is in now would be our best player.

Anyway, the real reason for this thread is to promote this video made by DayWalk3r. Poetry on ice. Enjoy.

Awesome video. Half the times in the highlights he's vandalizing the Sharks.

I think most of the Sharks clips is from the playoffs. He was a Shark killer (among many teams ).

Tough to find players that are on that level of excellence.

Screw Forsberg, give me Jagr. I've always wanted to see number 68 in teal.

Jagr was a locker room cancer and sulking little *****. He'd fit right in here I guess. But Forsberg was the true playoff warrior. There's never been a player with a bigger will to win.

Nordiques absolutely violated the Flyers with that trade, and Colorodo got a ready made cup winner with Roy on board, I never really liked how lucky the Dives got and am not a big Floppy fan Also they ended our playoff runs TWICE! He also single handidly destroyed us on so many occasions

Where's the tribute video of Forsberg flying in search of a whistle

It's too bad Foppa and Lindros had so many injuries. Two of my favorite players to watch in their prime.

Not even close. Apart from 2-3 years were Jagr was sulking, he was one level above Forsberg. And that's not a slight against Forsberg, who, next to Sakic, was next in line.

All this playoff-warrior talk is mostly bs anyway. Great players on great teams will almost always perform extremely well in the playoffs. It's really weird how players who play on elite teams get such a praise for their playoffs performance, while no one gives a damn about elite players who carry average teams to the playoffs and as far as the team can get.

Actually it's not. Just look at the team you're a fan of. Great players, great team, useless in the playoffs. Marian Hossa was a good example this playoffs, a great player on a great team but played like crap.

No. A healthy Forsberg is one of the best players in the world. Forsberg healthy is better then Jagr healthy.

One thang came to my mind when I read the title. But it was already mentioned. A beer belly Forsberg is better than many of our players in the playoffs. A Forsberg who's out of breath is better than many players in the league. He does exceptional thangs, special thangs. A True Playoff Cat. Winner.

However I would like to see some real thugs with Forsberg, cause they would punish everybody who even looked at Peter. I think a Forsberg today, would like to play the game with some real thugs and dealers. Pushermen.

If we would get like Nolan back, Forsberg and some other Real Killer, like Carcillo or some other fool dorkiou, then all would be cool. If Carcillo played with Forsberg. They would punish other human beings.

Man, that guy really killed the Sharks. I remember almost all of those goals. When he played against the Sharks it was like he was the only guy wearing skates.

If the question is who, in their prime, would I want on my team during the playoffs, it's not even close. It's Forsberg.

He and Peter really did their thang back then... together. We don't have winners like these guys......... they are very special. Ring Warriors. From the 36th Chamber of Shaolin. They got moves alright.... damn Lemmy has a great shot in the playoffs... and damn Peter has that special skill and passing ability, in the playoffs. Also these guys think differently, that's why they win. It's a mind thang really.... nothing else.

Roberts, Nieuwendyk, C.Lemieux, Forsberg, P.Roy..... they just think differently. Like... "I'm going to score that game winner" Or like "I'm going to block that shot and win us the game". And after that... thangs start to happen. Not all people can do that.

A beer belly Roberts will always be better than 99% of these ****in millionares in the league. Same goes with Forsberg. These players win by thinking. They don't have to even move much.

Why are we arguing about this? I'll take both Forsberg and Jagr.

Me thinks if Jagr played in the West, many here would be singing a different tune.

One (of the many) thing that impresses me is how he led the playoffs in scoring without his team playing in the finals twice.
