First off I don't know the answer to Crazy Ivan's question.

Second, this being an off topic thread I have a question that is related to hockey, but not "it's own thread" worthy. I have a few NHL (and one AHL) jerseys I am trying to sell. All except one are not worth much and most of them are Islander mid-90's players. All but one are pro jerseys (one is a semi-pro with authentic lettering) and a bunch are autographed. The Isles autographs were obtained personally by attending practices and a meet up and have not been authenticated. I am not looking for much ($50 + shipping or so each depending on the player). I am not looking to sell here, but I want to know where I could sell these, besides ebay.

The one jersey I have that is worth something is an autographed Teemu Selanne Winnipeg Jets pro jersey from 92-93 (his rookie year I believe). It has a certificate of authenticity for the auto, the Stanley Cup 100 year anniversary patch and the "goals for kids" Jets patch. It is #13 and has never been worn.

Hi there.

Hockey related but still not really Islanders related so I figured this would be the most fitting thread.

Anyway, my team Modo in the SEL has just signed former Islander Freddy Meyer on a 1 year contract. What's your thoughts on him? Seems to be a surprisingly heavy hitter judging by some youtube clips I've seen, is that correct?

so I just found out that one of the children I work with, his family are very good friends with Joba Chamberlin!! Thought it was pretty cool. would it be super tacky to ask them to get a Nick Swisher autograph

I think it would be tacky, but they know I'm a big Yankee fan so maybe they will just get it done on their own.

Okay so I just graduated college with a degree in Mathematics, people tell me I can do anything, but then when I ask them what they say I can teach.

Is anybody on these boards working at a job that involves a lot of math and calculations? Cause I really want to find a job that just involves a lot of problem solving and would be interesting in hearing about anyone who is working in a position like that right now.

Don't know if anyone has been keeping up with the Medford drugstore tragedy, but today they made an arrest and apparently he's a big dek hockey guy from Medford named David Laffer... anyone here know this guy and what could possibly drive him to do something so horrible?

I saw that too.. and in the ny post article they said he's a big Isles fan and proposed to his wife at the coliseum. They even used a picture of him at a game. What a horrible horrible tragedy this is... I'm guessing he's a junkie and was after the drugs. Terrible.. feel so bad for the victims families.

I hope they kill him, I grew up 2 blocks from that store, frequently went them as a kid and knew people that worked there as well. I know way too many people that have been permanently affected by this and really pray that he doesn't see the light of day for the rest of his life. This is beyond horrific and still can't believe that something like this could happen in my town by someone who lived and went to school here. Unbelievable.

Hey guys. I'm heading out east Friday night, probably around 9 or 10. How bad is the LIE at night? My dad is making it out to be a nightmare, but others are saying not to expect the worst because of the time. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Edit: Also, I'd like to know if the Sunrise via Southern Parkway is a better alternative.

I saw there was another thread on this that was closed so sorry if keeping this subject going is not cool.. but Botta tweeted this earlier:

Chilling to read comments submitted by LI massacre suspect David Laffer to my Isles blog as recently as 3 weeks ago.

I might be moving to West Palm Beach.

Ya know what that means?

When the Isles are in Sunrise to play the Panthers....Isles at Panthers and I'll be meeting up with Law.
