Looking for a lightweight tapered replacement blade
Like the title says, I'm looking for a lightweight tapered blade. Preferably, I'd like to find one made of wood, but composites are okay too I guess. Any recommendations based on personal experience? I'm not too concerned about durability since I don't take many slapshots.
As for wood tapered, your options are the CCM 852 or the Vapor XXXX wood. The Vapor is the more highly regarded. Sherwood has one too, but it's a pain to find even online.
You could also go custom, but that's a lot of money for woodies and you have to order a ton at once.
All the composite ones will be lighter then wood. Synergy blades have great feel, not so great durability. Warrior Dolomite blades are considered the most durable, and are usually pretty well regarded. If you're a leftie, take a look at Hockeymonkey's pro stock array. Very cheap dolo blades in a huge array of patterns. However, they're pretty much always out of RH patterns, so if you're a right hander like me you're out of luck.
