Visnovsky vs Stoll and Greene

There has been some talk about the value of the Visnovsky for Stoll/Greene trade on the Oilers board. We have agreed to settle it with a poll on both sites. Please vote in this poll only and not on the one at the Oilers board as it would nullify the results. Thanks.

The question is...........

Would you reverse the Visnovsky for Stoll/Greene trade if you could?

I would say no. We lost value, but we filled holes we desperately needed to fill.

Stoll is a 3rd liner and a solid player, but the real gem has been Greene, who had developed into a top-4 defenseman

I said no because Visnovsky had a bad season and Greene really stepped it up......But my opinion could change depending on what happens this year.

No.

LOVED Vis, still do. He was great here and he deserved his contract. Love what Stoll and Greene bring more though.

nada, I liked Lubo but Stoll and Greene bring more to this team. Yeah we could use Lubo on the PP but if we make the playoffs its guys like Stoll and Greene that will step up more in my opinion.

Shoulder injuries are nasty and usually take a year plus to recover from

Currently 18 wouldn't reverse, 2 would.

Sounds like the fans of both teams are very happy with the trade. Thats the kind of trade we should see more often in the NHL.

To the LA fans, you can guess who one of the two is that voted yes.

I would like to point this out as a request, as currently 2 of the 4 people who have voted that they would reverse it on the Oiler board are Kings fans. (The same Kings fans who said they wouldn't reverse it here)

Souray didn't have that problem, Stoll did. Vish is a lot more like Souray in terms of talent than Stoll, I'm not worried that he won't come back next season and be a force.

I'm glad Lubo is gone but I wish he had been traded before he signed that contract.

? Liking Stoll and Greene in favor of Lubo is one thing, but just wishing he were gone in the first place? Where the hell does that come from?

As an Oiler fan, I'd have to correct you on this point. Lubo was fantastic for us.

Glad his contract is gone. No way would I want to pay Lubo 5.65 until he's 37

Yes but you said you wish he were traded before he signed the contract. That would indicate you didn't want him even before then. His contract is gone, so what do you care whether he was traded before or after? We all agree the return is kicking ass and helping the team, so what gives?

Lubo is worth his contract and if Doughty wasn't here I'd wish Lubo still was, contract and all.

Nope.com

Lubo had a bad year, he's a year older and the Kings filled two holes they need to. Plus Lubo's spot on the Kings will be replaced by Doughty, Johnson and or Hickey.
