Coyotes/Arizona Hockey News for the day

Other than the news that Aaron Downey was invited to Coyotes camp, not much to report on at the moment as it's a lull in the offseason reporting.

Things will kick into high gear in the next few weeks as you will see here:

Aaron Downey? This is a good sign. He's on the team in my NHL 09 Be a Pro campaign and the team is something like 50-7. Now we just have to wait for me to be invited to camp, get signed, start the year in San Antonio, get called up and show up as an 80+ goal 120 point player. The cup is our!

Downey, huh? I guess we got our goon. Too bad he's about to turn thirty five, next week. Oh, that and he's only six foot. Don't get me wrong, he's a hard-nosed guy, and all, but in ten years in the league he's got less than two hundred fifty games played. Career high was fifty six. He was in the AHL, all of last year. Maybe this is a San Antonio signing. I was hoping for a guy thirty pounds heavier, six inches taller, and ten years younger.

Frankly, 56 games would be way too many. I'd be miffed by even half that.
