Doesn't that seem like alot of games on VS? Did that play that many last year?

At least now I know what home games to get tickets to so I won't have watch their terrible coverage.

My ears are still ringing from having to listen to Emrick on Versus and NBC. I'm glad we don't have as many NBC games as last year.

Actually, I wish Versus and NBC would leave the Rangers alone altogether like they do to with smaller market teams. Won't happen, but I can wish... right?

Maybe Im in the minority, but I think Emrick is the best play by play guy in the business, and I enjoy listening to him.

Rosen has been on a downward spiral for the last 5 years or so, and I cringe several times when listening to him attempt to call a game.

Emrick's bearable on NBC or Vs, but him combined with Chico is unwatchable.
The Canadian guys, Hughson, Cuthbert are sooooo much better. I wish NBC would just broadcast the Canadian feed.

I wish Gary Thorne would do NHL games again? He did a lot of the games when they were on ESPN……. So I guess it’s been a while………. .

I stay away from Devil's broadcasts like the plague since Chico is the biggest homer ever. Im sure that rubs off on Emrick a bit.

I don't mind Emrick either. I love the way he gets into the games.

He's doing Orioles games on local TV here in DC/MD/VA. It was kinda odd at first, but he's settled in nicely.

I miss the old ESPN crews... Gary Thorne and Bill Clement, Steve Levy and Darren Pang, etc...

Thank God the Rangers don't play any games against the Penguins on NBC. The sound of hearing Emrick shout "SCAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!!!!!!! Crosby!!!!!!!" makes me feel ill.

I really like Doc too.

Between the team's unbelievable record on NBC and the Milbury & McGuire NYR hate-fest, those NBC broadcasts are unwatchable as it gets. Let's start a write-in protest for them to air something else those days.

Emrick is technically a good play by play guy, but to me he's become somewhat of a gimmick. His enthusiasm just sounds phony and forced to me, and there is way too much of it. I guess when you do so much play by play it gets tiring, but still. I don't know, I tolerated him for the longest time, but just a while ago I switched over to the NHL network to watch some random repeat of a playoff game and I eventually had to mute it because I couldn't stand it.

I think that comes from doing the Devils games all those years. He has to scream to make it seem like something exciting is happening when it's not.

Teams are limited to games on Versus and 4 games on NBC. Possibility for more NBC games with flexing.

Haha, maybe.

To me though, I watch hockey for the hockey. A good announcer should be there to compliment the broadcast. Unfortunately with Emrick he kind of gets in the way rather than adding to it. Kind of like that Buffalo announcer who's name eludes me

Wanna talk about homer announcers??? Joe Beninati is the absolute worst. This guy gets on my nerves like you wouldn't believe. The way he dresses even annoys me. I've never heard another announcer do the station ID 10 million times during a game. He's not just horribly bad at one thing, he's just all around BRUTAL. He is positively the worst announcer in hockey. Yet, Versus seems to think otherwise with his horribly cheesy little nicknames and statements.

Marv Albert....I actually miss listening to him on the radio. Also great doing the Knick games as well. Especially in Queens when we'd only get the road games on TV.

Doc Emerick calls a good game imo.
