I'm not trying to ''drag Edwards though the mud'', I'm telling it as it is. Tell me ONE false thing I said about Edwards and I'll retract myself at this moment.

I love when people doubt my selections and tell it as they honestly think it is. I sincerely hope you'll get the reflexe the tell everything you have on your mind about a selection (player or coach). Yea, even Bobby Orr had some flaws in his game and the context of an ATD is perfect to put all into perspective. It's with discussion that the common knowledge will grow, which is in my opinion, the most important thing and the legacy of the All-Time Draft.

I need to go to sleep now. I will answer you back on Friday.

Edited some confusions in post.

But anyways, I suppose you weren't really dragging him through the mud; but the sudden attack struck me unexpectadly, and struck me as if you thought it unfathomable that Edwards come above Paton, and also sold Edwards a bit short in my mind.

I look forward to your rebuttal.

sorry i wasn't able to vote on regular season standings. i have limited internet access now and wouldn't have been able to adequately research guys i wasn't already familiar with, so my votes would have been largely guesses.

hopefully i'll be able to be more active during the playoff phase

Wow, 5th? I can't believe I managed that after missing so many picks.

Thanks to all who voted, and Weyburn: I'll see you in Round 1

To answer the question, Hedberg - the series will be two days long, and then we'll vote. Consider this day 1.

Thank you to everyone who voted, obviously I'm thrilled about 2nd place in my divison, as well as my four all-star selections. I didn't even think I would have that many, as my team is built around chemistry and character, rather than top-end guys.

Looking forward to our match-up, can opener.

By the way, I named the MVP based on the total voting points, but if I could do it again, I would base it on total voting points compared to the difficulty of receiving voting points (i.e. there were 28 goalies to choose from, of which only 14 were truly eligible, but there were 56 top-6 wingers to choose from)

Based on that criteria, the clear MVP would be Lynn Patrick. Let's not revise history and just call him the runner-up; I now know better for next time.

Wow. I have one player on the 2nd all-star team and no honourable mentions. And yet I finished third in the division. That's kinda cool. I do pride myself on being able to create strong team concepts.

I just sent out a PM to everyone who had not yet voted. Man, this is easy once you're a sponsor.

Aww, practically no debate at all in this round..guess I'll just have to go purely off my impressions.

Mine will be in shortly.

Next round should be better, hopefully.

It is sometimes hard to get debate going in the MLD. It's the summer.

It's disappointing, but this is the way it sometimes goes. I tried to say whatever came to mind on a few series at least.

Get VI, hedberg, chaos, GBC (not on vacation), myself, or you in a series together and you'll see some debate.

Plus next round there are 4 series to comment on instead of six... hopefully the same amount of discussion = a little more per series

Hell, me not being a part of round 1 meant overall volume of discussion went down by 20%!

True enough.

My votes are in. Looking forward to the second round.

When is the second round starting?

I have votes from 9 guys. Still hoping to get a few more. Voting is officially closed but whatever I have tomorrow morning is what I'll use to compile the results.

As soon as possible I'll post the results, three stars, and create the round 2 playoff threads. Midnight Wednesday night will be when round 2 voting closes.

I've been very busy lately, so I've struggled to find time to post much of anything.

Sorry I didn't get around to voting. I've been without an internet connection for the past few weeks. I still have no connection, but I'll try to get more involved ...

Sorry, meant to say that Wednesday night, voting opens. There will be two FULL days for discussion, plus what there already was today. So get discussin'!

Also, it was ok for round 1 because I had a bye, but in round 2 I think I should get someone else to collect votes. I think that if it's the GM of an eliminated team that would be best, but it could be someone from outside the MLD too. Looking for a volunteer to step up.

I am willing to collect votes for your division, you would still collect votes for my division. It splits the workload in half for a quick turnaround time.

All voting periods will be a day long in the MLD. Technically a bit longer because you really have all day, plus overnight.
