Now that his Swedish Elite League season is over, Thrashers prospect Carl Klingberg will join AHL Chicago for the remainder of the season.

Interesting...

Speaking of which I wonder how Kulda is holding up? His title of 'legit surefire superstar shutdown dman' might be in trouble if he can't get out of the damn AHL.

Klingberg is the Next Holmstrom, only he'll be a bigger STAR. Not a SCRUB like Machecek. Thats if Rams-nay doesnt ruin him first. Hire a Swedish Coach, surely his system will make Klingberg an All-Star and Petterrson a STUD, only Rams-nays powerfail system would have Staplefail in over him right now.

Color me ****ing impressed. I just checked the poster on this thinking my ban list had reverted to an empty state! I never would have imagined was more inclined to believe this post was a satirical dig at a poster on my ban list, by one of the few posters agree with on most all issues.. Well done, sir. Well ****ing done....yeah, I'm super stoned @ 330 am.

I think yes. He was under the contract during the whole season so at he wouldn't have to clear waivers.

Kinda quiet, but he has 13 points in 57 games in the Elitseriens top league. He's probably going to get improved as he is a coach's son (son of Tyrone Lasu, assistant coach of Frolunda J20 and now head coach of Kungälvs IK in Division 1). He could be expected to join the AHL next year if he wants.

Update on Martin: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=555629

I don't even know what to say about that 98% statistic. It's a miracle that he had that chip in the exact right place.

Cody Sol currently has 14 pts and 111 PIMs in 54 games with the Kitchener Rangers. His teammate and fellow Thrasher prospect, Julian Melchiori, has 19 in 63, and is a +24 on the year.

Ivan Telegin is in the top 60 OHL scorers and has 60 points in 58 games. his Saginaw Spirit just clinched the West Division with a win over Windsor.

Ben Chiarot signed an ELC with Atlanta and wraps up his OHL season with 33 points and 11 PIMS in stints for the Saginaw Spirit and Sudbury Wolves.

Eric O'Dell is having a quietly good year with the Sudbury Wolves with 42 points in 37 games after returning from his injury.

In the Western Hockey League, Levko Koper continues his career year with the Spokane Chiefs. He's got 81 points in 70 games, a +20 with 65 PIMs. In Calgary, however, Jimmy Bubnick is a -31 in the year following his great Memorial Cup performance. Rounding up the Thrashers' W prospects, Kendall McFaull builds off his 2010 rookie of the year season with a +8 and 78 penalty minutes in 69 games. For the Medicine Hat Tigers, Sebastian-Owuya (brother of Mark-in-the-park of American Idol infamy) has 10 points in 64 games with 67 PIMs and a +8 on the year. The 6'3 swede is in his first North American year.

In the USHL, defenseman Peter Stoykewych has 8 points and is a -2 in his first year for the Des Moines Buccaneers. He may stay an additional season before moving on to Colorado College in the WCHA. Tanner Lane meanwhile has 11 points in 51 games and most likely will stay in the USHL an additional year before moving on to Nebraska-Omaha.

In the collegiate game:

OSU captain center John Albert has 34 points in 37 games for the Buckeyes, who fell to Lake Superior State 3-2 in the CCHA conference tournament. The 5'11 Albert, in his final season, will probably sign an ELC in the offseason.

Daultan Leveille regressed in his junior year, dropping from 25 points to 18. He's an assistant captain for Michigan State and goes into his senior year in the 2011-12 year.

For the University of Maine, Will O'Neill has 21 points in 28 games in his junior year after missing time with an injury.

Vinny Saponari has gone back to the USHL and plays for the Dubuque Fighting Saints. He has 61 points in 50 games for the Saints.

Zach Redmond has wrapped up his senior season with 20 points in 26 games and 20 PIMs.

Nice summary "headsigh". A lot of positives in there as well. It's great to see.

Ashame about Bubnick. Not looking good for him.
