i heard on the tv that joe thorton hurt his wrist. Is he going to be able to play in the first round of the playoff.
It's Thornton, and he did suffer an injury in last night's tie with Washington. He left the game in the 3rd period with an "upper body injury." They're saying it may be his ribs. No word on how long it could be. One quote said he might be able to ice it and be back right away. Here is a link to the article in today's Boston Herald:
TSN says its his wrist and the Boston Herald says it's his ribs. Similair conflicting posts on the B's board. Seems nobody knows which is it or how bad it is and I doubt we'll find out. I'm sure all we'll hear is the old day-to-day upper body injury.
Thornton injured? Yikes. Couldn't be worse timing. I hope it's not serious, otherwise we'll have to repeatedly hear that "we woulda won if Joe weren't hurt" from certain people. I still want to play the Bruins though - and let's avoid the Sens!
