LINE-UP UPDATE: Martin Prusek gets the start in goal tonight against Toronto. Jacques Martin announced Vaclav Varada (ACL left knee) and Todd White (right foot) will be game-time decisions while Jason Spezza (lower body injury) and Patrick Lalime (sprained left knee) remain on the mend on a day-to-day basis.

I highly doubt Telly will start for us, way too much on the line. Eddie also said he wanted to play both games.

I believe the following is accurate, but a summary of what needs to happen for what matchup:

A summary of what needs to happen for the various opponents:

Ottawa vs NJ
IMPOSSIBLE

Toronto vs NJ
Toronto needs to LOSE, in regulation, to Ottawa
NJ needs to WIN against Boston
Philly needs to WIN against the NYI

Ottawa vs Philly
Ottawa losses (in OT or regulation)with a Boston Loss in regulation, and Philly WINS.

Toronto vs Philly
Toronto losses in OT or TIES, Boston regulation LOSS, and Philly WINS.

Ottawa vs Boston
IF ANY type of Ottawa loss
AND any of the following:
a Boston REGULATION Loss and a Philly Tie/Loss/OTL
a Boston TIE OR OTL

Toronto vs Boston
Toronto regulation loss, a Boston WIN/TIE/OTL OR Boston LOSS + Philly Loss/tie/OTL
Toronto OTL, a Boston WIN/TIE/OTL OR Boston Loss + Philly Loss/tie/OTL
Toronto TIE, a Boston TIE/OTL OR Boston Loss + Philly Loss/tie/OTL
Toronto LOSS, a Philly LOSS/TIE/OTL

Ottawa vs Toronto
Boston wins AND
Ottawa TIES Toronto (Ottawa at home)
Ottawa LOOSES to Toronto (Toronto at home)

Ottawa vs 7th seed*
Ottawa WINS
OR
Ottawa TIES + Boston Tie/LOSS/OTL

Toronto vs 7th seed*
Toronto WINS + Boston Tie/Loss/OTL

*7th seed will be determined as follows:

Montreal is 7th seed
Montreal WIN/TIE/OTL OR
Montreal LOSS AND NYI TIE/LOSS/OTL

NYI is 7th seed
Montreal LOSS and a NYI WIN, then NYI is the opponent.

While here we are last game of the season this is the biggest game of the regular season. I'm not sure where im going with this but i KNOW we are going to win tonight we have the power of the banana

I think Bonk might have a break out game since he has been openly critized. Players to watch out for tonight will be Chara, Hossa, Bonk, DeVries and Bondra if they can start firing on all cylinders we'll have a chance to be playing in June.
I hope for a clean game with no injuries because neither team needs any going into the playoffs. If i seem a little rambly i've been warming up before going to the pub with all the leaf fans. I hope we win or im gonna be in a bad place

My prediction 4-2 sens with the winner from bonk or chara

I hope that neither of us suffers an injury.

I hope the team that plays best wins and that flukes do not play a major role.

I hope we both succeed in the playoffs unless we meet each other in which case I can't wish you luck.

In any case, I hope the Bruins lose tomorrow.

Pathetic. Not like this game meant anything.

Edit: Obsenity Filter is there for a reason.

They outplayed TO in the first now they're just giving up and look tired it seems. The longer this game went on the better off TO is due to the game last night. Oh well. Boston or TO it seems..we can take either on a good night.

Prusek shouldn't have started...and we really need Lalime playing like he did vs MTL. Also...TERRIBLE calls by the refs...if you're gonna make bad calls, let them go both ways. Rediculous.

Edit: Delete problem within quote.

How was that hit on Bondra different than the one Neil got called for earlier?
What a joke.

Hope Bondra is alright...but I don't see the penalty. Wasn't a charge, wasn't an elbow, wasn't boarding.

There was an elbowing call, but since the Leafs scored it is wiped out.

This is getting ugly in a hurry. Neil better settle down, not sure why he's so ticked off.

Smolinski's lucky he didn't get anything extra for what he did, that was nasty.

I feel sorry for Emery but he has to stay in, I rather Prusek rest up in case Lalime isn't ready for the 1st game.

After last night's game, I think the tank's been drained dry.

Hope Bondra's okay.

Domi zeroed in from the faceoff circle = charging.

Could you explain how the hit was different than the one Neil was called for?

I hope both teams have the sense to control nastiness from now on some neither of us suffer unnecessary injuries just before the playoffs
