How many games will Connolly play this season?

I think TC's health is the single greatest variable going into this season. If he can stay healthy for 60+ games, we probably make the playoffs. If he's only in for 30, we may well end up golfing again in April.

What say you?

And with that in mind, an oldie from a GDT against the Rags last year:

The Fan's Prayer

Our Center, who art in roster,
Timmy be thy Name.
Thy gametime come.
Thy deke be done,
On ice as it is in heaven.

Give us this game your fragile head,
And forgive us our defensive lapses,
As we forgive those who cheapshot and bite us.
And lead us not into concussion,
But deliver us from Drury.

For thine is the dangle,
and the powerplay, and the goal,
for ever and ever.

Ramen.

EDIT: Oh, and if you have a specific number of games, post it. I'm going with 55. Why? Because 5+5 = 10 = our magic number this year.

Awesome prayer.

I voted 71-80. I'll say he plays 76 games this year, and puts up 81 points.

I went 51-60. He's gonna take a hit somewhere that will rock him for two months or so.

I went with 41-50, IMO, he'll play around half the games, miss 5-10 here and there, and we'll all be going "when Timmy get's back...." He'll be the same disruption that he has been over the last few years...tremendous talent, scores ppg when healthy but can not be counted on at all, his in-n-out of the line-up messes with chemistry, and line combos. Same crap.

BUT...

As an optimst, hopefully he can play 70+ and be that PPG player, then he'll be worth it, we'll have 2 solid scoring lines and we finish in the middle of the pack in the East, a 5th seed.

This thread has jinxed us all.

I'll say 81. He puts the team on his back with consistently brilliant play all year, squeezes the Sabres past Boston for first in the division, then takes the last game off to rest and floss his bling in the press box.

48... there is no way we see timmah for the "playoff push" aka "the push for 10th" he is too fragile to make it that late into the year.

go ahead timmah prove me wrong in a good way. I beg of you

This poll proves we have two types of sabres fans, the first type are ridiculously optimistic and the second type are incredibly superstitious.

Very true. Since the lockout he's averaged 40 games a season. Right now, that option only has one vote, and the options below that all have zero votes.

65 games, 65 points. But if he DOES get hurt bad and misses a ton of games, I hope our new goons make sure the guy who hit him misses twice as many.
