Nathan For You

Manked over on the Ottawa lounge tipped this show to me. I watched the first episode and have been laughing my butt off. Check out some episodes. I could not find any other mention or link on the entire board. Here are samples:

And of course you can youtube "nathan for you" and you'll see lots more.

I saw one episode where he hired a private investigator. It was pretty damn funny. I will watch more.

Seen the commercials airing every now and then, and it looked hilarious. Never got around to watching it yet.

I was surprised it got renewed for a second season, as it's such an under-the-radar show, but the first season was terrific. I'm looking forward to more.

I could care less about giving you love but I really liked the show.

Didn't expect it to get renewed because this format usually fails as either its executed poorly or the audience doesn't get it (which is what I thought would happen here) but Nathan is just so good at telling people ridiculous things with a deadpan look/tone that it works.

This show really is amazing. Nathan Fielder is really funny and he's amazing at creating really funny situations out of real life moments. What I love about the show is how he takes a basic premise (making fun of business makeover shows) and takes it in really odd directions, all the while holding some semblance of reality.

The gas station episode was probably the best because it went in so many random directions and yet he held it together. And then it culminated in this:

Season 2 started today and the first episode was pretty good. The best moments were probably Nathan's interactions with the polygraph operator at the automechanic, the Realtor explaining to the potential home buyer what an incubus is, Nathan taking cellphone pictures of the Realtor getting an exorcism and the painting at the end.

This show alternates between being hilarious and being painfully awkward.

Watched a few episodes with no idea what to expect, and didn't even know what I would be watching and just wanted to try something new after having seen a bunch of commercials for it. Nearly died laughing from the 2 episodes I saw.

I didn't think there were other people that watched this show.

I don't think I've ever laughed as hard as I did during the Petting Zoo episode.

"The Web" was a classic film.

That petting zoo episode from season 1. The faked video has 8.7 million views

I feel like I'm the only one watching this show. It's fantastic. So awkward. They aired the Starbucks episode lol

Watched it after the hype Rolling Stone gave it, its way too fake for me. I honestly don't know how anyone thinks this is for real.

Unless that line of real life Tom Green days to this Nathan stuff has been so blurred... Even in your own head watching it, you have to know it's all ********.

The biggest question I have about the show is how people think it's legit. Absolutely boggles my mind. In your day to day life if you walked by a store called "Dumb Starbucks" are you going in? Or does something in your head say - "Wait a minute, Starbucks isn't called Dumb Starbucks! Why are they messing with me??"

What part are you suggesting is fake? You can tell his interactions with people aren't imo.

Yeah, you can certainly tell that they are. Like the rest of the show.

Hence their reactions and conversation never being on the same screen at the same time? Cut to store owner, cut to Nathan, cut to store owner, cut to Nathan... never once in a real conversation... Just a slight red flag. Slight.

More or less if I make a conversation with you now quoting, cutting and pasting your words to make you look stupid.
