It cracks me up that I edit for a living, deal with TB's of data at a time, every format under the sun, and yet I still can't figure out how to get some damn Kings footage on my drive to edit. I've tried every flash downloader and they all crash my computer when I install them. I know I could record games on my dvr and get them that way... but its a little late for that ... guess I should start prepping my workflow for 09-10 vids!
I guess my point is, I too have been inspired (for quite some time) to make a Kings video, I'm just too retarded to figure out how to get started.
Its kind of sad really. Its like being able to do calculus functions in your head but not being able to figure out how to use a calculator to add and subtract.
Anyways... like the rest said, very nice use of dissolves. One of the last shorts I edited I did a lot of that kind of editing, along with a jerky staccato style to fit the tone of the piece. Its fun and really effective, as you have demonstrated quite well.
I was thinking about that.. I remember you mentioned that you do this for a living and while I was watching, I was thinking why is JDM not making any Kings videos.. now I do..
I'm getting into After Effects now.. Love those motion graphics esp. beginning sequences and ending sequences for movies..
I'm usingthis thing called Windows Media Player. You can view video right on your PC! You can pause, rewind...whatever you want! It's like a vcr but you don't have to mess with tapes or anything. It's crazy what they can do these days. Posted via Mobile Device

Did you know you can rip audio cds and burn them as well?

No way! I gotta get in on that, playing them over the stereo and recording them with my laptops built-in mic on Windows 98 sound recorder was getting tiresome!
And yeah After Effects does some crazy stuff. One day I'd like to learn it, but my brain doesn't seem built for motion graphics.
See that is an epic video, it bugs me so much that the kings cant do videos like this. When there fans with free time and arnt getting paid for can pump out these gems, it just makes me shake my head. Good Job

Yeah man. If you get lucky, you can get a built-in equalizer as well..
I've been doing still images for so long, sometimes, I kinda wish they can move.. I was interested in motion graphics little bit but I think it was 300 ending sequence that blew me away.. Kyle Cooper does pretty amazing stuff...
For some reason, video editing didn't quite get to me.. Even though it is one of the most important elements in story telling..
