Official Game Thread: NYR-Caps Thread
Well its our last game of the year.
I hope the kids continue to play well. I hope Ulmer plays a good smart game for his first game in the nhl. Lets go Caps, Lets go Yotes.
I predict Caps 4 Rangers 3 in Regulation
Caps - Whitfield, Halpern 2 and Zubrus
Rangers - Balej, Jagr, Lundmark
Post if you got them.

i dont think jagr is playing from everything ive seen
im going to say 4-2 caps
ranger goals by pock and hlavac, yep hlavac
anyone ever hear anything about ortmeyer at all, is he skating and will he play with the pack? i saw him when mess walked in the dressing room just standing there, but i wonder if he is close to a return?
lines for tonite
green-lundmark-balej
hlavac-holik-ulmer
murray-m. green-lacouture
mcallister-larose-Mccarthy
so im guessing purinton should be in for defense

Lundmark and Balej should both approach 20 minutes tonight.
Anyone think that if we get to OT, Renney should pull the goalie to go for the win? A tie is just as bad for the draft position as a win, but hey if they score on the empty net the Rangers forfeit the point. Just a thought.

I'm loving Balej out there...
of course it's against the Caps, though. He's moving the puck real nicely, and with confidence. Tyutin's looking quite good too, as are the Greens.

I see Holik and Mironov with the A's, who has the other one?
And can't they just let that be a goal? Please? COME ON!

That guy Peat is a thug. I hate players who aren't afraid to dish out a hit but b!tch and moan when somebody touches them. I just wish we had somebody who could come over, drop the gloves with him and put him in his place.

JD won the season trivia contest. Sam came in second and AL came in thrid.
JD just said the Yotes had a long 5 on 3 and couldn't score.

Balej almost injured his leg trying to prevent the icing.

This may be their best chance to win it. It just seems like the Caps are so disinterested in winning this game. They're just dropping 4 guys back every time.

Typical Rangers. When we need a big penalty kill, they give up a goal. When we need them to give up a power play goal in the worst way, they kill it off easily.

4 minutes left.
Dammit, we cant tie. We need a loss. Looks like that drubbing of the Flyers will come back to bite us in the ass.
