I refuse to vote. At this point quite few of them can be #10.

Dodge. Solid year with Albany even with all the injuries.

Jerome Samson. His production considering the low age he entered the AHL has been highly impressive.

Just think about it this way, both Samson and Hughes are '87 birth year players and only about two months apart in age. If the roles were reversed and Hughes had scored 54 points in 70 games last year with 22 goals.... how highly would we be regarding his development?

He's 21 years old, going to be 22 when the season rolls around, and he has 2 consecutive 20+ goal seasons in the AHL.

The funny part is that isn't even really his game. Goal scoring is just a result of what he had to work with in Albany. He's a passer by nature and just a really strong offensive presence.

In fact, it wouldn't shock me at all to see him lead Albany in scoring next season once Bowman and Boychuk arrive. He plays RW so chances are good he'll be on the first line there unless Sutter moves away from Center.

Nick Dodge is another really solid option. His scoring was highly impressive considering what he projects to be as a grinding 3rd line forward or 4th line forward. I think he's better at center than wing and should probably stay there.

It's no secret i'm a big supporter of Nick Dodge. I really believe he can amount to something special for us in a bottom 6 role in the next couple seasons. I gave him my vote last round so i'll throw it his way here again.

Real close though for me between Dodge and Samson. At such a young age to see Samson scoring 20+ goals in back-to-back seasons in the AHL is intriguing. I am really hoping Samson can hit the 30 goal plateau this coming season. I'd be really happy to see 30 goals / 35-40 assists - 65-70 pt season. We'll see if he can reach somewhere within those heights. If he can, we may just have a 23 year old RW running in the mold of a future top 6 role who can join the likes of Boychuk, Bowman, Sutter & McBain in a year or so.
