One flaw...auto-drafted Marshawn but, looking over the rosters, he's "O". Guess he'll have to be substituted.

Nicks better step up. Drafted a lot of players with mad upside like Harvin and Nicks. Hopefully they step up and can be used as trade bait

Half auto-picked since I came into the draft about halfway through...but I also picked up those players. And the best part about Favre as my backup QB? Matt Ryan has a week 4 bye. That week Favre is playing GB. On MNF. No way he lays a stinker down under those circumstances.

(draft postion--player)
6 Chris Johnson, Ten
15 Brian Westbrook, Phi
26 Ronnie Brown, Mia
35 Wes Welker, NE
46 Roy E. Williams, Dal
55 Matt Ryan, Atl
66 Jerricho Cotchery, NYJ
75 Larry Johnson, KC
86 Greg Olsen, Chi
95 Fred Taylor, NE
106 Chris Chambers, SD
115 Kellen Winslow, TB
126 Percy Harvin, Min
135 Brett Favre, Min
146 Dolphins D/ST, Mia
155 Michael Jenkins, Atl
166 Buccaneers D/ST, TB
175 Rob Bironas, Ten

Love my RB depth, would have liked a better WR corps but I'll live, especially if Welker will catch 100 balls again...

Did my draft 2 weeks ago. 10 team keeper league (finished 4th last year). Rate my team.

QB Jay Cutler, Chi
RB Steven Jackson, Stl (Keeper)
RB Matt Forte, Chi
RB/WR Frank Gore, Sf
WR Roddy White, Atl
WR Dwayne Bowe, Kc
TE Antonio Gates, Sd
DEF Vikings
K Nate Kaeding, Sd

Bench
QB Matt Cassel, Kc
RB Ray Rice, Bal
WR Bernard Berrian, Min
WR Devin Hester, Chi
WR Dominik Hixon, Nyg
WR Josh Morgan, Sf
TE Zach Miller, Oak
DEF Indianapolis

Absolutely love the stud-capabilities of my RBs and the sick depth at TE and at WR. I even have a pretty good backup QB.

Love my chances this year.

I've been offered the following trade:

MJD/Steve Smith for Larry Fitzgerald/Chris Johnson.

Should I take it? I have a feeling that MJD will have a better year this season, but Fitzgerald is definitely a better bet for more TD's than Smith.

EDIT---This is my team:

1. (9) Larry Fitzgerald
2. (16) Chris Johnson
3. (33) Joseph Addai
4. (40) Philip Rivers
5. (57) Hines Ward
6. (64) Jamal Lewis
7. (81) Owen Daniels
8. (88) Derrick Mason
9. (105) Ben Roethlisberger
10. (112) Devery Henderson
11. (129) New England
12. (136) Fred Jackson
13. (153) John Kasay
14. (160) Nate Burleson
15. (177) Nick Folk
16. (184) Laurence Maroney
17. (201) Antwaan Randle El
18. (208) Bo Scaife

Rate my Fantasy Team

Did my draft the other night. It's an 8 man league. Points for TD's, yards passing, rushing and receiving. Also yards for tackles, sacks, Int's. What do you think?

QB- Tom Brady, NE
QB- Donovan McNabb, Phi
RB- DeAngelo Williams, Car
RB- Steven Jackson, StL
WR- Marques Colston, NO
WR- Lee Evans, Buf
WR- DeSean Jackson, Phi
TE- John Carlson, Sea
K- Mason Crosby, GB
K- John Casay, Car
LB- Demarcus Ware, Dal
LB- Ray Lewis, Bal
S- Oshiomogho Atogwe, StL
CB- Charles Tillman, Chi

Bench- Kurt Warner, Ari
Bench- Jake Delhomme, Car
Bench- Jonathan Stewart, Car
Bench- Ryan Grant, GB
Bench- Hines Ward, Pit
Bench- Kevin Walter, Hou

So, basically i took a bit of an odd strategy compared to most people drafting. I decided to take an excess of pure offensive players for my bench. I did this for two reasons. It gives me extreme depth compared to most teams. Say, one of my guys goes down to injury...i have someone like Warner to replace him....compared to another team having someone like Jamarcus Russell...huge advantage for me. It also gives me great trade bait. I know have 4 great RB's, 4 great QB's and 5 receivers (which i feel are my weakpoint, if i have one).

On defense there is more depth at the position with players with similar numbers. I mean, players like Chad Greenway, Barrett Ruud and Jon Beason werent even selected at LB...so therefore if i need another defensive player theres lots to choose from.

Basically there is a higher premium on pure offensive players so i decided to stock up on them, rather than defense because there are many good defenders still on free agents.

Long explanation, but what do u think? How's the team, and do u like my strategy?

this is my team in a HF Flyers league.
I did not participate in the live draft but did send in a list

QB Tom Brady
QB Joe Flacco
RB Jamal Lewis
RB Sammy Morris
RB Reggie Bush
RB Edgerrin James
WR Steve Smith
WR Brandon Marshall
WR Antonio Bryant
WR Steve Smith(Giants)
TE Owen Daniels
TE Vernon Davis

DEF New England
DEF Miami

K Stephen Gostkowski

What are the odds of drafting both Steve Smiths in a draft I didnt attend.

Guess I wont win anything since I dont have anyone on THE BEAR on my team

I'd stick with Fitz & Johnson. Both can murder those divisions they're in.

I was supposed to be reading To the Lighthouse (a terrible, terrible book, but I've read it before) but I decided to do the most useless thing ever: A live mock fantasy football draft.

This is how my team turned out:

QB: Donovan McNabb
QB: Eli Manning
QB: Chad Pennington
RB: Matt Forte
RB: Thomas Jones
RB: Derrick Ward
RB: Shonn Green
WR: Steve Smith
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Lee Evans
WR: Tory Holt
WR: Hakeem Nicks
TE: Dustin Keller
K: Robbie Gould
DEF: Indianapolis

I thought I did pretty damn well for the #5 pick, though I waited perhaps a round too long on the defense. I like Shonn Green as a failsafe just in case Thomas Jones starts to suck. I really wish I had this team

Unfortunately I wasn't able to make my real draft but I'm pleased with the way it turned out:

QB: Phillip Rivers
QB: Eli Manning
RB: DeAngelo Williams
RB: Ray Rice
RB: Shonn Green
RB: Chester Taylor
WR: Steve Smith
WR: Marques Colston
WR: Vincent Jackson
WR: Ted Ginn Jr.
WR: Percy Harvin
TE: Visanthe Shiancoe
TE: Anthony Fasano
K: Robbie Gould
DEF: Philadelphia

Not bad for not being there and auto-drafting. My RB depth is pretty shallow though

Just finished my 12 teamer that I have been doing since HS...I ended up with the 10th pick.

Here is my roster

QB- Matt Ryan
RB- Ladianian Tomlinson
RB- Brian Westbrook
RB- Reggie Bush
WR- Marques Colston
WR- Santana Moss
WR- Brandon Marshall
TE- John Carlson
K- Nick Folk
DEF- Miami

BN- Carson Palmer
BN- Lesean McCoy
BN- Earl Bennett
BN- Johnnie Lee Higgins
BN- Michael Jenkins
BN- Steve Breaston

I know my team doesn't have much upside, but I am pretty much hoping LT and Westbrook can each have one more good year. Hopefully the Marshall situation is resolved soon.

Need some feedback about who I should start as my third RB.

RB1 - Adrian Peterson
RB2 - Steve Slaton

RB3 - Choice of Larry Johnson, Willis McGahee, T.J Duckett

KC looks like a mess, McGahee is old and is going to loose carries to Ray Rice, and T.J Duckett is pretty much a goalline back exclusively (though he had 8 TD's last year).

Kind of kicking myself for not getting a better RB3, but I guess I shouldn't be complaining since I have two work-horses for 1 and 2.

Nobody really worth taking off waivers either

Well Duckett got cut by the Seahawks so definitely don't start him

Just go with whoever faces the weaker D.

For example, in week 1 whatever you do, don't start LJ. He's going against the Ravens D. So that leaves McGahee against a horrible Chiefs team, he'll probably do pretty good.

Seriously?! Damn... All I read about him prior to this season is how he was a good sleeper pick for his goal-line TDs and how he'd probably be used more. Some team will pick him up I'd have to imagine.
