Need the best line up and have some tough choices ....
need 2 QB's
Farve @ Bears
Palmer vs Chiefs
Alex Smith vs Lions
Flacco @ Steelers
McNabb vs Broncos
need 2 RB's
AP @ Bears
McCoy vs Broncos
Gore vs Lions
Mendenhall vs Ravens
Ray Rice @ Steelers
almost have to many 'good players'
i would pick palmer...and then farve. farve had a good week against the bears already this year with over 300 yards, and a few tds. but that was in a dome. this game is outside, in the cold, at chi. but he should be fine.
I lost by .3 points this week. I was so pissed and then found out that Warner's late TD to Boldin was ruled a passing TD, when the replay clearly showed it was a lateral. The play was reviewed by the Elias Sports Bureau and changed the ruling to a rushing TD for Boldin. That is huge because I now win my matchup and get to the championship. With my lineup, it shouldnt have even been this close, but of course Steve Smith has his best game of the year when I go up against him and Gonzalez catching that late TD vs the Jets. Such ********, but I do prevail.
Just a side note for anyone questioning using Mendenhall this week, he does well against good teams and has already had a big game against BAL earlier this year in Baltimore. Knowing this, I still benched him last week against the Packers and of course has a very nice game. Wont make that mistake again. The Steelers win keeps them alive in the Wild Card race and they have new life. Mendenhall goes for 85 rush yds, 1 TD and 40 receiving yds, 1 TD. Get him in your lineups.
Everyone is jumping on the Smith bandwagon this week against DET and its the championship for most leagues. I always hate benching my stars, but if you really do want to gamble this week, then take a chance with Smith. If your gut says otherwise, then stick with Schaub.
Sure hope the Colts are playing all game, Peyton and Dallas Clark carried me through the first two rounds of my playoffs in total routs.
I think the starters that dont have any sort of nagging injury might play most of the game. This includes Wayne and Addai. I have Addai and I only had him on the bench once all year, but this week is a gamble with the Colts. Peyton, Wayne, Addai will all play, the big question is how much.
Plus, Wayne has a foot injury and will have Revis on him.
Well, unless Shiancoe/Gould get -5 points it looks like I'm going to win my championship for the first time in 6 seasons with the same guys. I've come in 3rd, 9th, 9th, 9th and 11th before this year, but I felt great about this year naming my squad "This is my year". I only went 6-7 during the season, losing the last 5, but I had the 3rd most points, only 90 behind the leader.
My final team:
QB: Phillip Rivers, Eli Manning
RB: DeAngelo Williams, Ray Rice, Ricky Williams
WR: Steve Smith, Marques Colston, Vincent Jackson, Percy Harvin, Mike Wallace
TE: Visanthe Shiancoe, Tony Scheffler, Fred Davis
K: Robbie Gould
Only changes I made were picking up John Kasay, Glen Coffee, Ted Ginn, Indianapolis, Anthony Fasano, Sammy Morris and Shonn Green for a bit, but mostly my drafted team stayed together.
