I'm sure he'll screw up the Timbits orders at first, but he'll get the routine down I'm sure.

Great move from what I've read. I really think the Jagr ordeal isn't as dead as some people think. Tambo plays his cards pretty close so we really won't have any idea unless it happens. Maybe that was the reason for the ending of the Heatley deal.

this may be an anathea on HF, but I think winning teams develop younger players better than losing teams do. An equivelent prospect on the Sharks / Wings / Philly will turn out better than that same prospect on a perenial loser like the Leafs.

Playfair was the Defensive coach, Flemming was special teams which was not so good when he was here.

I'm sure you are referring to the Heatley fiasco but it's tough to pin that one on Tambellini.

Fleming coached Leksand in the SEL back in the 90's and did a really solid job.

Love it.

He has a great resume.

The Jagr stuff is just icing on top.

Well, Oilers special teams can't be any worse than what they already are so...I'm thrilled about Quinn/Renney, more of a wait-and-see approach with Fleming.

Looks like he and Jagr were tight.

I dunno.

Gotta love the Flamers coming in and telling us how bad he was with them.. he's an assistant coach! Just cause he had crud to work with doesn't make him bad

It's just their ongoing obsession with everything Oiler-related.

I find it rather cute, actually. Maybe someday their city will win a championship too!

edit: I see the boy-geniuses over at Calgary Puck already have a 2-page thread going on this topic where you'll find the usual Siberia/Edmonton jokes and people making fun of Fleming's speech impediment.

You stay classy, Calgary!

Well, the website should be an accurate reflection of the franchise.

Bucky is a very intelligent tactician.

People here ripping on him don't have a clue.

I can live with that. The ones who make their way from there to this forum... not so much.

Very good technician and good at breaking down the games. Used to be with Hockey Canada.

I never understood how Flames fan can make fun of Edmonton for being cold. Calgary is 2 and a half hours south of us. Yes they get some chinooks but it gets cold there too.

Haha!

A quick shout-out to Reggie who you just know is lurking. Too bad he doesn't have the balls to post here because he's all talk!

Did you guys know ReggieDunlop is 46 years old? I guess the biggest comedy of 2005 was based on a true story!
