Dogs vs Rochester

Hainsey gets his first goal in 22 games.

Hainsey (Higgins, Gratton)

Damphousse in nets again. Yesterday Michaud was in the stands watching the game, so I assume he will just practice with the team.

Columbus's season is now over.

He has played good. 2-0 .933 save % 1.5 gaa but Jarvis knows he needs this game, so goes with the veteran.

No Flood or Robinson either.

Plekanec scores (Hossa Plante) 2-0

Wow, if anyone's listening to the radio broadcast...

The announcer's really taking it out on the ref. Said he's doing a really poor job. There was a highstick on Beauchemin that wasn't called, even though the ref was right there. Apparently Beauchy was bleeding all the way back to the bench.

"The evidence is dribbled right across the ice right to the Hamilton bench."

Another highstick not called, this time on Thinel.

The game's getting scrappy. Beauchemin and Geoff Peters got in a shoving match.

Olvestad injured by a hit from behind. Hurt on the ice.

5 minute major on the Rochester player.

"Bob Langdon (the ref) for once got one right."

It was Plante who took a stick to the head and has about 10 stiches. Hainsey, Olvestad and Plante all left the game with injuries. Nothing serious, but the game was really chippy. Rochester and Hamilton seem to be building a little rivalry, and they might face each other in the first round.

After the game I interviewed Yann Danis, it was really interesting. But you guys will have to wait until Wens to see it at www.insidehockey.com

Do you think you can make a new tread when you'll have done you're article on Danis?

Q. Rumor had it that a lot of teams were after you, what made you pick Montreal?
Q. What’s it like to be a Hobey Baker nominee?
Q. What’s it like to play for Hamilton?
Q. What are your first impressions of the team?
Q. Please describe what it was like to make your AHL debut with a shutout?
Q. Were you happy to have your Brown teammate Brent Robinson join the team too?
Q. What are some areas you need to improve on?
Q. Do you think you will get a chance to play in the playoffs?

Those are the questions I asked him.
