I feel sorry for St. Louis! This guy is probably the worst defender in the NHL today!

If that's true, then I'm not worried. Our defense is very deep, there's no way he makes the team.

Because? do you think we'd be trading roster dman if it did go down.

Either way its only a tryout so a precaution if Brewer can't make it (he probably won't).

As a coach or spectator? I really see no way he makes the team.Johnson,Coliacovo,Polak,Jackman,Bell,Pietrang elo,Weaver, and possibly Brewer as well as guys like Junland and Strachan I just see no chance for him.

Beware the dangerous possibility of the Blues bringing him in to "coach" the youngsters.

I thought there was no way Winchester would ever play for another NHL team, but I was wrong there. Perhaps Sydor can trick one more team into thinking he's not that bad.

The Blues are bringing in Sydor to show the other defenseman on the roster what not to do.

Winchester had 13 goals and 21 points last year and played solid defense. You can do a lot worse for a fourth line guy.

The Blues also extended a tryout to Ryan Bayda, BTW.

I could see Sydor overtaking EJ for a job on that blue line, most definitely.

I think you might be better off having one defenseman out there than having Sydor join him. At least that way you don't have to wait for Sydor to **** up so the other defenseman is ready for the 2 on 1.

Ya its like a learning device, Sydor ****s it up, and the partner has to learn how to fix it.

I can't believe anyone would give him a tryout, he was so horrible with Pittsburgh and Dallas. He's Josef Melichar bad.
