That is an extremely clear screen & whoever is in charge of the camera knows what they are doing...

Is that your love for Russian cinematography shining through, or just a sarcastic way of telling me you can't play the clip?

If it's the latter, you could always try grabbing the original .flv and play it in VLC or something.

Most clips are grainy & out of focus - impossible to see the puck or who is doing what. That link is almost as clear as my television screen.

If I were being sarcastic I would have included a " " or a " "...

Ah! Okay. I just wasn't sure you could watch the clip in North America.

And yes, SVT has some good-quality clips (even though their sports clips are of lower quality than their "Play Prima" content), but I guess that's the least they could give us law-abiding Swedes who actually pay the television license fee.

Just a little update on MPS (MSP)

He is playing with Timra right now in the "SCA Cup" vs. Brynas.

After 2 periods of play, the score is 3-1 (Paajarvi with 2 goals)

EDIT: He was just centimeters from a hat trick in the 3rd period now.
EDIT2 : Game Over, Timra wins, 4-1.

So does this mean that MPS is playing pre-season games with Timra while Lander is playing in the 4 team U20 tournament? Did MPS not participate in the tournament because of his recent injury?

For those who missed it, this thread on the Prospects board is a must. Hartikainen with a goal and an assist in Finland's 4-2 win over the Czech Republic in the U20 tourney.

Olivier Roy didn't play in Cape Breton's game tonight.

Both were power play points - for some strange reason, I like that......

I don't know, it's probably mentioned in some article i've read but it didn't feel important so it never stuck with me.

Apparently he had two more in the Russia-Finland game (one ES, one PP) and got ejected (along with a 5 minute major) for boarding. Russian player Evgeni Timkin was also ejected for the ensuing scrum.

Omark just scored a bit of a beauty, effort-over-style, like. He's with the Swedish National team in the Czech Hockey Games.

Tjärnkvist made a beauty rush down the left side. Omark took the pass in the deep slot, with a Czech draped all over him, but managed to slide it in five-hole.

Omark was also a key component on the first Swedish goal, running the PP from the halfboards.

Czechs lead 4-2.

From that same u-20 thread .. Hartikainen with 2 goals against Russia, and quite a few penalties too.
This guy is criminally underrated.

I think both Hartikainen and Motin are under-rated.

Both are quality prospects that would be in my top 10 list for Oiler prospects.

I also think Motin is going to surprise a few people this year. And he fills a need.

I must say I am mightely impressed by Omark, for a small man he's really good at holding on to the puck even when his checked. He's an expert in using the motion "force" when someone is checking him from behind or from the side, to INCREASE speed instead of slowing down. He have had an incredible development ever since a year ago, and its not stopping yet. It will be interesting to see what he and Harju can do in Moscow.

I still think is too unproven to play in the olympics, but right now he has to be a "bubble" for that too.

In an Expressen article, I read a quote from him, saying he'd added four kgs of muscle this off-season (from 80 to 84).
