Omark is extremly impressive. He protects the puck as if he was 6'3 220 lbs and is almost impossible to steal the puck from. See alot of Forsberg in him with offensive tackles and creative passes.

That russian kid goes nuts! Dont know why Rajala is in the title though...

IMO, not worth 5min. Let alone 25min.

Rajala usually plays with Granlund in world situations, the person who put the video up probably assumed it was the case here (not knowing about his injury or the fact that he would be at Oilers rookie camp tomorrow if he wasn't).

Hartikainen is 26 in that video. He drills the guy into the boards and got 5 and a game for it. Timkin is the russian who mugs the helmetless Finn, Granlund.

Hartikinen not getting great reviews agaisnt Sweden, heres some quotes from the prospects board:

Omark and Sweden got severely taken advantage of today, in an 8-3 loss to Finland. Omark had a few good moves around the net, as usual, but no great results.

Mikael Renberg was in the studio punditting, and he said that the more he sees Omark play, the more he thinks he should be on the Olympic team. They also talked about who he would replace, and Loui Eriksson came up. Yep, the guy who scored 36 for the Stars last season.

Thanks for that. I was looking for a link to Swedish preseason stats, couldn't find one. Euro sites are such a bother with Google Translate.

2-1-3 +4 in 1GP?

Awesome.

According to his team's pre-season boxscores, MPS has scored 4g and 2a over the course of 3 games. I'm not sure how many actual GP he has as I know there was an injury that took him out of some of them.

So to recap. MPS has 4g and 2a for 6p in somewhere between 3 and 8 games played this preseason.

I heard he can't finish though...

thats what i was thinking as well

man we could use a *real* high end player with speed and size.... (who couldn't i guess)... gagner is great and all, but i don't really ever see him being a "star player".... i'm not saying MPS will be this player, but rather we don't have such a player in the system right now

a monster season from MPS would be just the thing to get my heart pitter-pattering

Well, I knew he played at least one other 2 goal game.

I was just talking about this one.

Oh of course. I understood your intent and wasn't trying to contradict you. I was just posting all the info I could find on the preseason stats for MPS to further the discussion

Better than I could do.

I searched for a long time, couldn't find anything on the SEL website or Timra website that indicated practice season schedules or statistics.

Thanks for the link, again.

Here you can see MPS goals:

http://webbtv.st.nu/player/play/98787

On an unrelated note you can also see an interview with the teams new Canadian Center Daniel Corso link

Btw it does seem like he had practiced when it comes to finishing. But hey it's still preseason. I'll wait until the real season starts until i make any serious remarks. With that said it looks promising. If he could've been anywhere near the efficiency of a regular (senior) forward he would probably have gotten around 30p (probably more) last season. The kid created alot of chances but totally sucked at finishing.

Thx for the post. Can anyone get these highlights to work? Some of the other videos play, but the most recent two don't work for me.

Just a reminder, Teemu Hartikainen gets the real season started at 10:30 in the morning MST.

All that I have to say is that MPS will be my successor to Schremp in terms of the prospect that I like the most when Schremp graduates to the big club or is moved. So much skill and such explosive speed, this kid could turn out to be something special.

Worked for me as long as I don't try to enlarge the video. Nice pass to start it off, Lander with a breakaway where he shoots high, MPS chips a puck up high for his first goal, 2nd one skates from right to left and fires a wrister and scores. Very impressive game by MPS.

You may have a larger crew on your side with this choice than you currently do with Schremp. A little help to do the heavy lifting never hurts.

Though for what it is worth I still think Schremp has a decent shot at an NHL career. I just don't think it will be in Edmonton.

Is it ever possible to watch SEL games, particularly Timra, online? I can't get enough MPS footage, I'm so stoked about this kid being an Oiler.

Thx for the description BBO, the vids still aren't working for me. Maybe I'll try IE, though all the vids but the most recent two work fine in firefox...

Edit: Nope nothing in IE either
